Yep yep yep, it is time again Bry. I am going to take over this week 8)

Miami Dolphins vs Houston Texans - I believe this game will be very close. Texans RB Ron Dayne should have a great game against my fav team who are struggling defensively (they are last in the league). I really am shook on this as that evil gut that makes me go against my will is telling me to pick Miami but i won't budge.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Kansas City Chiefs - David Garrard has been a beast this season, shiveling up for himself a 103.8 QB. But man, this weekend'll be tough for him. Similarly, Larry Johnson would face a tough D that would stop him enough to prevail.

Cleveland Browns vs New England Patriots - I favor this team to go 5-0. As i've reiterated on numerous occasions, New England are the best team in the league right now. That Randy Moss acquisition was for the better. The Pats' rushing attack should be very successful against a very weak Cleveland defense. Equally, New England are a respectable defensive team who put a long of pressure on Carson Palmer last week.

Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints - Seriously, Reggie boy has been a disappointment so far. However, i expect him to shine this week, especially against a Panthers defense that allowed 189 rushing yards against Tampa Bay last weekend.

New York Jets vs New York Giants - This game will be very boring, i can tell you that now. I agree with you, Bry, Pennington sucks. And that's why i'm picking the Giants too. Last week, he threw away two costly picks. Plus, the Giants got like, what, 10 sacks last weekend.

Seattle Seahawks vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Again, my gut is telling me to pick the Steelers, especially because the Seahawks allowed Frank Gore to finish with a 4.9 yard average.

Arizona Cardinals vs St Louis Rams - Cardinals QBs Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart combined for 225 yards last weekend. Whoever starts should have success against this Rams "defense".

Detroit Lions vs Washington Redskins - If i were the Lions' coach, i'd be very worried about a defense with beasts like Sean Taylor and Fred Smoot. On the other hand, Jason Campbell has been incomprehensible this season and the Lions had six sacks last weekend. But i believe Washington will win anyway.

Atlanta Hawks vs Tennessee Titans - The Titans have been fucking brilliant with regards to running the ball. I really do not expect anything less this weekend, especially against Atlanta of all teams. Joey Harrington, i say one more time, is not the answer. Although Tennessee have been questionable on defense (i guess they're missing Pacman Jones a lot).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Indianapolis Colts - Manning faces a tough Bucs' defense that sacked the opposing QB 3 times. The Colts own defense will be tested against Tampa Bay who rushed for 189 yards without Cadillac Williams.

San Diego Chargers vs Denver Broncos - Even though San Diego are done for the season, San Diego should be able to beat Denver.

Baltimore Ravens vs San Francisco 49ers - One word, defense. That'll be the decider here, with Frisco prevailing.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers - Bryant, time for my weekly shots at you. But seriously, Green Bay are doing their thang right now with Brett Favre putting in wonderful performances. I believe he'd be able to put in yet another one, however, i expect Cedric Benson to scare the Packers defense.

Dallas Cowboys vs Buffalo Bills - I agree with Bryant again, this game shouldn't be on Monday. I'd have prefered to watch the Seahawks/Steelers game or the Bears/Packers one on Monday. That's the whole essence of Monday Night - to see a good game. I really don't think Buffalo will pose a threat to Dallas.

Now JREM and Kenny G, have your inputs, sirs !!!

Guys, get ready to be CRUSHED!!! :D

I am focused this week, and I will prevail!!! Yeaaah!!!

Alright, let's go:

Miami at Houston: Dolphins D sucks!!!

Jacksonville at Kansas City: KC hasn't proven anything yet

Cleveland at New England: Need I say why??

Carolina at New Orleans: I'd like to be wrong, but...

NY Jets at NY Giants: Kind of a toss up...hey Giants win!

Seattle at Pittsburgh: A little upset in the making

Arizona at St Louis: The Rams just look A-W-F-U-L

Atlanta at Tennessee: Too much Vince Young

Detroit at Washington: Are the Lions for real?

Tampa Bay at Indianapolis: Even banged up, Manning's boys win

San Diego at Denver: SD sinks...Tomlinson cries

Baltimore at San Francisco: McNair and Ray-Ray bounce back

Chicago at Green Bay: Are the Bears that bad? are the packs that good? I pick the Bears to come alive on D!!!

Dallas at Buffalo: No brainer??

Time to put it on ya'll

HOU over MIA - Yeah their D sucks, but so does the passing game.

JAC over KC - Easy win for JAC

CLE over NE - come on now.....Maybe if I was telling a joke!

NO over CAR - This is my upset pick for real.

NYG over NYJ - That giants defense is like a vicious pitbull on the loose right now.

PGH over SEA - I know we have alot of injuries but we still have some of best backups in the league.

ARZ over STL - 2 in a row for the cards, but because STL sucks.

TEN over ATL - this would of been a battle of probably the best running QBs out there but SOMEBODY done fucked this up to be probably one of the most entertaining games of the year......DAMN! but too much vince young is going to kill them birds.

WSH over DET - detroit is for real, but washington is more for real than they are.

INDY over TB - Manning won't be stopped until he meets NE for me.

DEN over SD - SD loses and tomlinson cries AGAIN!!, damn he must of been hanging around tom brady too much, because tom brady is a sore loser too.

BAL over SF - it would be a tough win, but a win for these birds.

GB over CHI - Favre has trouble with this defense in the past but there are something new about him.

DAL over BUF - No brainer indeed.

:? Hi Jerminator and Bryant, and all sports freaks from this thread.I haven't said much since my preseason ideas, but after the first quarter of the season, I'll say that Herm Edwards is suprising people, and that at 2-2 the Chiefs have a chance to do something in that division.I'm KC taking over Jacksonville.

I'll say I'm rooting for Chicago over GreenBay, but I still say Kyle Orton would be better than Greise. He didn't lose games when he had to win them, but I think Lovie has lost sight of that from a couple years back.

I think New Orleans, just like I said, is again, an up and down team, and Carolina will win this. There may be a surprise, but I'm taking Carolina over New Orleans.

Even though I'd love to see something strange happen between Buffalo and Dallas,I'm going to say that Dallas has waaaaaaay too much for Buffalo.Dallas over Buffalo on Monday.

Cleveland is improving this year, but against New England?Cmon! Especially with Moss scoring in every game of the year so far?! There isn't enough hippie lettuce in the world to cloud judgement like that.New England over Cleveland.

I want Tony to exact all revenge AGAIN over the Glaser family, and have Tampa Bay melt down just like they did in that Monday night game where Indy came all the way back! I'll always be rooting for Dungy re Indy v Tampa, unless he changes teams! Indy over Tampa.

A little upset special this week would be The Rams at 0-4, over the Arizona Cardinals.I don't think Wisenhunt is as golden as the league would have you believe, and Denny's meltdown wasn't just Denny going nuts;that team has demons yet to be conquered. St. Louis over Arizona today.

I know there are other games, but this is what jumped out at me right off. We'll see how I did on Tuesday!

The Saints lost again...and Wedlock was right...

But man, I'm 11-2 for the first 13 games...that's a record...
And if Dallas wins, it's going to be 12-2!!! Wow!!!

the Saints are done, cooked...here in Louisiana, we all now
rely on LSU...Go TIGERS!!!! :)

Miami lost, just as i expected. I really hate this, you know  1-0 Kris Brown was the man, by the way.

Jacksonville Jaguars are coming up by the way. Their game against Kansas City was sick. Maurice Jones-Drew's 52 yarder was beautiful as hell. Right from the handover, at that. Dude just weezed through the defense like a roadrunner. Great game. 2-0.

Honestly, the Pats look better than even the Colts right now. Granted, they've not really had any real test of character yet but they still look damn scary as hell. 3-0.

You know, i wanted to pick Carolina to beat New Orleans but i felt that New Orleans would (finally) come through. Boy, was i wrong. Losers. 3-1

New York Jets vs New York Giants - Okay, i take my word back. This game was fucking great. The Giants came back from the deficit and won the game. Good one. 4-1.

Seattle Seahawks vs Pittsburgh -   4-2.

Arizona are looking good, ya know? 5-2.

Seriously, did the Redskins hold the ball for more than seven and a half minutes on the opening possession against the Lions? Honestly, this Redskins team look pretty damn scary. Look at the quality they have - Clinton Portis, Ladell Betts, Santana Moss, Antwaan Randle El, Andre Carter. They can go a long way if they stay healthy. 6-2.

Wow, who knew that a team with two of its stars in exile would be quite good? Of course i'm talking about the Atlanta Falcons vs Tennessee Titans game? It was quite bearable, giving the fact that the Falcons are shit as fuck and the Titans can be pretty inconsistent at times. But of course, the Titans prevailed. 7-2.

One thing is for certain, Indianapolis can repeat. Especially when they have such a versatile squad. To watch them punish such a mediocre Tampa Bay team was beautiful to watch. 8-2.

San Diego are done for the season but looked the part against Denver. See, if LaDainian Tomlinson just shuts the fuck up and play the damn game, maybe they'd be better off. 9-2

Fuck the damn Ravens. They keep messing up my record. When i say they'll lose, they win. When i say they win, they lose. Bastards. 9-3.

Bryant, i bet you're real pleased at your team now. They did good though. But on the offense, your receivers have a lot of work to do. 9-4.

Hopefully, the Cowboys will win tonight and give me a 10-4 record. Man, this week was great. I'm 34-27 y'all.

NFL Picks.

8) Hey fellas:
I didn't get in at week one, so I'm not eligible for the scorecard, but for the 7 games I did call before Sunday, October 7th+Monday night(week 5) I went 5 and 2. Indianapolis, Carolina, Dallas, Chicago,New England, won. Kansas City dropped, as did the St. Louis Rams. Next week, I'll submit the full schedule of picks.
I am glad to see that the Yankees kicked once again for the third year running........and why?One reason is because money doesn't buy chemistry.
I don't mess with the NBA until play off time, but what do you guys think of the point shaving scandal?

How about hockey? It's early, but what teams do you guys have hopes for?
Thanks.

Sorry guys, i've been somewhat MIA this week. Had to write an eleven page paper! lol Wow, what a crazy season it has been huh? Jrem, what in gods green earth has happened to Drew Brees? it looks like he's reverted back to the San Diego Charger version of Drew Brees, before he was good. since you guys are gonna be getting the first pick in the draft, you'll obviously be able to address the situation. :) Kenny G, man your Steelers are looking prettty good. they annihilated a very good Seahawks team. i am officially impressed with Pittsburgh. they are a contender along with the Pats and Colts.

The monday night game was much better than i thought it would be. the Bills played hard, but they also played to lose! there's no way Dallas should have walked away with that game. that was terrible. i think the Bills are hexed or something. they'll just never be a good team. i hate Tony Romo and i hate Dallas. i'm glad he threw all those picks. it's gonna be 2 or 3 more after this sunday when they play the Pats. they're gonna get beat good.

and Cris, i fall out of my chair laughing at your post game day commentary. that's some funny stuff man lol.

Jrem, even though i hate to admit this, i'm actually in last place right now. I went 9-5, not 10-4. Detroit lost, Chiefs lost, Dolphins lost, Seahawks got destroyed, and Saints lost. So i'm actually 41-35. dang you guys did good with your picks this week. why oh why did i pick the Lions on the road lol. and don't even get me started on the Dolphins.

Bmanz and Wedlock, i was hoping you guys would join in. that means we have a Giants fan, and a fellow Bears fan coming in. :) Jrem is right, it's okay with me if you guys start out at .500. now where's OmahaBoy? i know he likes the Pats. :)

Well, guys, Ia m not wasting any time to put my number one position on the line, here are my picks for week 6!!! :)

St Louis at Baltimore: St Louis is a lost cause like my Saints! :(

Minnesota at Chicago: Bears are back!...well, not exactly but they'll win this one

Miami at Cleveland: Will the Dolphins go 0-16?? :)

Washington at Green Bay: Is bad Brett back???

Houston at Jacksonville: Ok, Houston we have a problem

Cincinnati at KC: Which team is worse? Cincy takes this one

Philadelphia at NY Jets: Jets can't run, pass, catch, block, etc...

Tennessee at Tampa Bay: Vince Young rebounds

Carolina at Arizona: Testaverde vs Warner...What happened to "going young at QB" in the NFL???

New England at Dallas: One team will be defeated...and it has to be Dallas!!! (I hate them too Bry!!)

Oakland at San Diego: Poor Oakland...wrong place, wrong time

New Orleans at Seatlle: Poor Saints...very wrong place, very wrong time!

NY Giants at Atlanta: Michael was a rolling stone!!! you know that song?

Alright guys, I can sense another great record for me this week...try to beat that :D

Damn dropped to second place gotta take my crown back I thought long and hard and here I GO!!!

BAL over STL - BAL is still too much on defense.

CHI over MIN - easy win for the bears, because min aint doing nothing except running adrian peterson

CLE over MIA - Dolphins will win a game....just not this game

GB over WSH - I just have a feeling that bad brett is not going to be showing up this much this season as in past seasons.

HOU over JAC - Houston can score points, trust me thats all you have to do against the jags to win.

KC over CINCY - cincy can't stop no one on defense, LJ breaks out this game I will say over 200 yards rushing.

PHI over NYJ - Im with you jrem...jets can't run, pass, catch, block, etc.
DAAAMN!

TEN over TB - he better rebound because when this cat is good he is good, he can take control of an entire game someone needs to remind him he is vince "the prince" young

ARZ over CAR - arizona makes it 3!! in a row, I hope they make it to the playoffs, just so the steelers to have their revenge   I know Im wicked.

NE over DAL - Even though I like dallas I just think they ran out of gas and they better hurry up refuel, energize and rewind because this is going to be their first lost.

SD over OAK - Two wins in a row oughtta recharge  the chargers. Uh oh thats bad for alot of teams.

NO over SEA - New orleans wins this game, i know it sounds funny saying this but this is my upset pick. Wow!

NYG over ATL - They shut down mike vick last year, so leftwich should be a cake walk.

Well there I go, I know I kno it's wishful thinking but come on 13-0. :D :)

Sports.......NFL Picks for Sunday, October 14th&15th

:) As a late entry, whatever adjusted record I start with is okay by me, I just didn't know if I'd be eligible. So if I'm starting at 38-38, plus my mini picks from the 7th,(5-2) that would give me 43 wins, 40 losses. Okay..... I STILL have faith in Herm, so KC over CIN, JAX over HOU, CLE over MIA, WAS over GB, BAL over STL, CHI over MINN,PHI over NYJ,TENN over TB,ARI over CAR, DAL over NE, OAK over SD,SEA over NO. ATL over NYG in the Monday night game is my upset special.

13 games total, including the Monday night game, my picks above are in blue, designating the teams I have predicted to win.

Okay, let me see if i can climb out of the cellar here! :)

St.Louis at Baltimore
I don't think there's any way that the Rams win this game on the road. The Ravens aren't that great, but the Rams are terrible.

Minnesota at Chicago
C'mon, if my Bears don't find a way to win this game, we don't deserve to make the playoffs. seriously.

Miami at Cleveland
the Dolphins suck. i'm picking Cleveland. but watch how when i finally pick the Dolphins to lose, they're gonna come out and get the win lol.

Washington at Green Bay
I like Washinton if they were playing at home, but because they're on the road this is a pretty even matchup, so i'm picking Green Bay to win at home.

Houston at Jacksonville
Another game where whoever is playing at home will probably win. Jacksonville gets the edge because of that.

Cincinnati at Kansas City
Cincinnati is 1-3 and because i really don't see them going 1-4 they'll pull this game out somehow. i like the Chiefs, but i always consider who is the more desperate team, and the more desperate team is the Bengals.

Philadelphia at NY Jets
I think Brian Westbrook comes back in this game, and Andy Reid is always pretty good after bye weeks, so i'm picking the Eagles on the road.

Tennessee at Tampa Bay
Although Tennessee has impressed me as a really good team, i think Tampa Bay will win this game somehow. this is my upset pick.

Carolina at Arizona
Vinny Testaverde starting at quarterback? wow, just wow. if they win this game it would be a collosal upset. i'm picking Arizona.

New England at Dallas
I really don't think there's any way the boys win this game. New England is just too good, and too balanced. i think their defense is extremely underrated. i think their D will stop Dallas' O enough to get the win.

Oakland at San Diego
The Raiders are never able to beat the Chargers in San Diego. Easy pick for me. i think they'll make it a good game though.

New Orleans at Seattle
I think this will surprise some people. I'm with Kenny G. I think the Saints will come out and play their best game of the season and upset the Seahawks on the road by a last second field goal or something like that. the Saints are playing for pride now, and they'll find a way to pull out the win.

NY Giants at Atlanta
I don't think there's any way Atlanta can win this game. the Giants are on a roll, and they'll keep on rolling until further notice. i'm picking the Giants on the road.

sorry i'm late, fellas. I'm kinda in a hurry as i need to go do something real quick so i can come back to watch the Cowboys/Patriots game. I won't be able to get my John Madden on with the blow-by-blow so i'd just state my case and be out of here.

St Louis Rams vs Baltimore Ravens

Minnesota Vikings vs Chicago Bears

Miami Dolphins vs Cleveland Browns

Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers

Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Jets

Tennessee Titans vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Carolina Panthers vs Arizona Cardinals

New England Patriots vs Dallas Cowboys - I resisted the urge to comment on this game, but fuck it, i will anyway. New England will win this game and here's why; firstly, Tom Brady is the luckiest QB in the league. He's so stacked with options to cannon the ball to and he's use that against Dallas. Just look at the list - Moss, Stallworth, Welker. It's hard to see how that won't work. Secondly, the Pats do well converting their third downs (they've got about 45% of them all season). Lastly, their defense will really come through in this game. That's my word.

Oakland Raiders vs San Diego Chargers

New Orleans Hornets vs Seattle Seahawks

New York Giants vs Atlanta Falcons
