Man, I went 11-5 for the week...
My SAINTS are out of it!!

I won't criticize Rexie anymore, Drew just looks like him these days!! :(

Well, I am 28-20 on the season so far not too bad!!!

    My observations on the week:

    THE PATS look S-C-A-R-Y !!!

The Bears have to wonder where they are going with Grossman...but hey, Lovie loves him!

    Man, the NFC sucks!!!

I went 7-9 this week. :( I took some major gambles with my picks, but i'll get back to what works for me, and that's picking smart. I was expecting the underdogs to come through, but they didn't. I see all of you guys have made up some serious ground, and even passed me this week! I'm 26-22 overall. Man i have to do better next week to make up for this debacle!:(

Yeah, you might be right Cris. My Bears stink right now. I can't believe it. We're a team in total disarray. I was once a BIG Grossman supporter, but he looks finished. He's given up. He let me down, and he let everybody down whose ever supported him. After enduring all these years of quarterback futility in Chicago, all we really wanted was a franchise passer. Somebody to believe in. He showed glimpses, and he gave us hope. That hope is gone now. No longer is it good Rex vs. Bad Rex. Bad Rex has been the only one showing up to play. Last season it wouldn't matter, because we were still winning games, but this season, the magic is gone, and we're starting to lose some of the same types of games! It's time for Lovie to make the switch to Griese. I don't think Griese is much of an upgrade, but he certainly can't do any worse. We have to shake things up starting next week.

Muhammed has to sit. Rex has to sit. Benson should split carries with Wolfe. Hester has to play MORE, and go DEEP. I'm tired of seeing him as a decoy. Let's use him! for crying out loud!

We have 3 division games coming up against the Lions, Packers, and Vikings, but our goal has gone from winning the super bowl, to simply winning the division. We look finished. Pleeease do something Lovie! Save us! Save our season!

Wow, couldn't have said it better myself Jrem. Rams look done. Bears look done. Saints look done. Giants are just about done. Eagles are in a big hole. Seahawks don't look impressive. Panthers are flaky. Niners got creamed. Cards lost. Redskins lost. Lions got creamed. Vikings blow. What else can i say?? Boy ohh boy have the tables turned.

What's left of the NFC?? Dallas & Green Bay??? Wow, just WOW.

    p.s.

Jrem, it looks like Rex may have a twin brother down in Nawlins! Let's get the Good Drew vs. Bad Drew debate started!
    :p

Well guys, it's been all over the news today. Griese is "in," and Grossman is "out." Forgive me if i'm not too enthused by this move. I think they're putting in the wrong guy. If anything, they should give it to Orton. He's young, and he has upside. Griese is what he is. A stop-gap. I'm actually hoping that Rex can come back in at some point and give us something, but the fans in Chicago are literally going to run him out of town. I could understand if we had Donovan McNabb waiting in the wings, but we don't. We have Griese...who sucks. Man it's tough being a Bears fan right now. Maybe we can draft that guy Colt Brennan next year or something. I hope you know what you're doing Lovie. :?: :?: Our problems go much deeper than Grossman. I hope this doesn't come back to bite us in the long run, especially if Grossman actually develops on somebody elses team.

Hey Bry, don't panic too much yet...I am the one who should jump in the lake Ponchartrain right now or just go get totally drunk on Bourbon Street with the way my Saints have played!! :)

They are playing Detroit next sunday, who showed against the Eagles that "they are who we thought they were"...which means that it should be a W for the Bears and basically, an audition for Brian Griese!!! If he sucks next sunday, you can expect to see Rex back at QB...

Lovie loves Rex, he is going to put him back in as soon as Griese throws a couple on interceptions!!

What amazes me though, is how much the NFL flip flops from a year to another...apart from the Saints, who are just a disaster, the Eagles are 1-2...the Chargers are 1-2; the Broncos are a lucky 2-1, the Seahawks as well...WOW...WOW...WOW!!!

My thoughts exactly. ohh boy, have the tables turned. the league has literally flipped itself inside out somehow. and not to mention the fact that the Super Bowl loser jinx continues. at least Vince Young seems to be breaking the Madden curse...for now :)

Baltimore at Cleveland - Poor Browns...

St Louis at Dallas - Poor rams

Chicago at Detroit - Griese will grease this rusty Bear machine!

Oakland at Miami - Is Miami finally going to get going?

Green Bay at Minnesota - The Packs have convinced me

Tampa Bay at Carolina - C'mon, the Bucs can't be that good!!!

Seattle at San Francisco - Upset alert!!!

Pittsburgh at Arizona - No upset alert here!

Denver at Indianapolis - Denver should be 1-2 or even 0-3!!

Kansas City at San Diego - Good for LT's moral!

Philadelphia at NY Giants - McNabb woke up...trouble for NYG!!!

Bry, i must say though, that right between this evil heart of mine , i feel really sorry for sexy rexie, Lovie, the Bears and Bears fans. Man, y'all must really hate yourselves huh? Nah, on a more serious note, i think Rex needs to be benched for a few games to get himself together but he shouldn't be benched for the whole season.

More importantly, many of his receivers have a lot of explaining to do themselves. Bernard Berrian (who's usually brilliant and reliable) has fumbled a few times this season. Muhammad, i understand is quite of age at 34, but he was brilliant last year so i wonder where he's been this year.

But ultimately, as you guys know, quarterbacks get blamed all the time for everything. Bad games, QB. Terrible offense, QB. Everything is the QB's responsibility. The quarterback position quite frankly is the most complicated position for anyone to play. I think Rexie needs to be benched for a while, but take note Bryant (as well as other Chicago fans), there isn't a better alternative so you guys should pray to God Rex gets better.

Okay here we go week 4, come on 16-0  I shouldn't be laughing...

Houston over Atlanta - They moe them over easily, houston seems to be for real.

Jets over BUF - sad game so I just picked it off the top of my head.

BAL over CLE - yeah poor cleveland, they need brady quinn bad.

DAL over STL - They got superman(LOL)

CHI over DET - don't matter if they do have grossman or griese lions defense sucks

OAK over MIA - They still have a good pass defense and that spells trouble for Green.

GB over MIN - The pack have a cetain spark to them, just might be this season's cinderella team

TB over CAR - TB have just the right kind of confidence going into this game.

SEA over SF - I just picked off the top of my head again.

PGH over ARZ - Tomlin is handling the tension between whisenhunt and the steeler organization very well, whisenhunt will try too hard.

INDY over DEN - yeah they should be 1-2 and 0-3, those were terrible wins. Don't even sound right

SD over KC - come on they can't be that bad.

PHI over NYG - Giants winning streak ends

NE over CINCY - OOOOOOOH!! I can't watch someone tell me what happens

Sorry for being late getting my picks in. Because of last weeks debacle, my confidence has been shaken, which meant i had to think a little harder before picking. :smt115 okay, here we go! :)

    Houston at Atlanta
I'm picking Atlanta in the upset in this game. No Andre Johnson, and no Ahman Green most likely. He's listed as questionable. I think the Falcons pull it out at home somehow.

    NY Jets at Buffalo
I'm picking the Jets because Pennington is playing, and J.P. Losman isn't. Trent Edwards is only a rookie. I don't think he's going to do anything here.

    Baltimore at Cleveland
I'm picking the Ravens because Steve McNair should be starting, despite his groin injury. I just don't trust the Browns. They're too inconsistent. But, if they pull an upset, or even keep the game close, i wouldn't be surprised that much.

    St. Louis at Dallas
If the Rams were clicking on offense like they were last year, then i would say they had a chance, but they're not, so they don't. And Stephen Jackson being out doesn't help either. Not to mention Marc Bulgers broken ribs. They'll get killed by Dallas.

    Chicago at Detroit
I really have no reason to pick the Bears in this game, other than the fact that i'm a homer, and i want to support my team. I don't think they'll have enough to win here, but i'm picking them anyway. Detroit is good, especially offensively, and we'll have our hands full, but hopefully we get the win somehow.

    Oakland at Miami
I've picked the Dolphins for like 3 weeks in a row, and they've lost em all. I'm picking Miami anyway lol.

    Green Bay at Minnesota
Why in the world would the Vikings coaching staff bench Adrian Peterson in favor of Chester Taylor?? How dumb. Brett has historically struggled in the dome, but the Vikings have no direction, and no quarterback. I just don't see an upset here, unless Peterson plays and starts, which according to sources, he isn't.

    Tampa Bay at Carolina
Although Jake isn't playing, i think David Carr gives them a good chance to win. I like Tampa Bay, and i like Garcia, but i think he's gonna get picked off a few times in this game for a Carolina win. Also, their running game is finally getting in gear with Foster. and Steve Smith is always good for a touch...or two.

Seattle at San FranciscoI don't think the Hawks are playing all that well, but Alex Smith really sucks for the niners. I can't believe he was the first overall pick honestly. he has to show me something. Niners get beat here.

    Pittsburgh at Arizona
Hmmm...Hines Ward isn't playing i don't think, but that Pittsburgh running game is pretty good. Ben is managing the game well too. I'm picking the Steelers for no reason other than i think they're a little better than the Cards.

    Denver at Indianapolis
For some reason i think Denver can compete, but i don't think they'll have enough to pull off the win. If this was at home for them, i think they could have won, but since it's on the road in Indianapolis, i think that Colts speed will kill.

    Kansas City at San Diego
I think the Chargers will bounce back with a couple wins in a row, and it starts here with the Chiefs.

    Philadelphia at NY Giants
PlexiGlass Burress is supposed to be playing despite his injury, and Brian Westbrook is banged up for the Eagles, but i think he'll play anyway. Eagles win here.

    New England at Cincinnati
I think this could be a shootout, but i don't see a Bengal upset because of the way their defense has been playing lately. They're terrible. I think they'll score on the Pats, but it won't be enough to win. They'll lose by a touchdown.

**by the way Cris, i'm glad someone else saw how the receivers left Rex out to dry by dropping balls and running the wrong routes all night long. Rex hasn't impressed, but neither have the receivers, offensive line, or runningback. i hope he comes back in at some point and plays better, but if he doesn't, i hope we can land Donovann in the off-season. :) **

Eagles vs Giants - Two 1-2 teams, struggling quarterbacks and NFC East rivals; should be fun.

Raiders vs Dolphins - I love my Dolphins but they turn over the ball too much. Lamont Jordan will take advantage of Miami's defense (or lack thereof) and the Raiders will run away with this one.

Seahawks vs 49ers - I really want to pick the 49ers because Frank Gore has been superb all season but i believe the 'hawks will steal this one right from the bottom of their noses.

Texans vs Falcons - Sorry Falcons fans, Joey Harrington is not the answer.

Packers vs Vikings - I hate this two teams so i really don't care for them, but Brett Favre is the man right now. With him seeking to become the all-time touchdown leader, he'll be looking to do it in style and what better way than to get the W?

Rams vs Cowboys - Where is the Rams' offense? To be fair though, Marc Bulger and Steven Jackson are injured.

Jets vs Bills - I think the Jets will look to build upon last week's victory and it's their lucky day because Buffalo suck, period.

Ravens vs Browns - Something tells me that Jamal Lewis will impress against his old team, but i'm sticking with my gut because this game seems too close to call. I think Willis McGahee will be the X factor here.

Bears vs Lions - Benched quarterback or not, the Bears are in so much trouble and their woes are about to be compounded because they will lose to Detroit. Brian Grease is not the solution to your problems, Lovie.

Buccaneers vs Panthers - The Panthers are a better rushing team and that is why they will take this one.

Broncos vs Colts - The Colts are sitting pretty right now, and that is not about to change. I might have picked Denver to upset Indy, but Denver has a habit of losing to Indianapolis.

Chiefs vs Chargers - San Diego cannot afford to lose this game. They've already lost to New England and Green Bay. They'll lose credibility as possible Super Bowl winners if they lose this game and i doubt they will. These two AFC West teams are fabolous rushing teams but the Chargers are superior.

Steelers vs Cardinals - Here's the deal about the Cardinals; they have playmakers who do not make plays.

Patriots vs Bengals - I'm sorry fellas, but i don't see an upset here. Another chance to see the NE show light it up. Moss and Brady are the kings right now. Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson, whilst they are brilliant, can't measure up to these two.

Man, the Eagles GOT DESTROYED by the Giants...12 sacks!!! and 6 by Osi Umenyiora alone!!
Gosh...I'm 4-9 in the first 13 games...it was upset sunday like it was upset saturday in college football (Well, at least LSU is number one now)

Hopefully the Pats will give me a 5th win on monday, if not...gulp...it's back to the pack!!! :( hehehe

    Great. Eagles lost. 0-1

Just as i expected, Miami lost. 1-1

I'm glad i stuck with my guts with Seattle. They did better than i thought. 2-1.

Finally, the Falcons have won a game. 2-2

Brett Favre is the fucking man. 3-2

That T.O's block on Patrick Crayton's first touchdown was sweet as hell. The game, as i expected, wasn't even close. Seriously, the Rams are fucking bullshit. 4-2.

Jets vs Bills - Quite close, quite close. I actually saw the highlights of this one and it looked pretty good. 4-3

Honestly, the Ravens get on my damn nerves. 4-4

Bears vs Lions - Ahahaha Bryant   5-4

Buccaneers vs Panthers - I can't believe the Bucs have actually taken 1st place in the NFC South. 5-5

Okay, i know everyone is still buzzing about Brady and Moss but Manning and Reggie Wayne look damn scary too. 6-5

    The Chargers are done. 6-6

Another upset in the Pittsburgh/Arizona game. 6-7

So that's 6-7 this week. Terrible. Hopefully, the Pats won't let me down.

I went 4-10.........Daaamn! That sucked. Steelers need to wake up on offense a little they just got sucker punched by the Cards!! :(

Well, i went 6-8 this week. i would consider that to be a complete disaster, but lets face it, some of these outcomes came out of nowhere. i had a feeling my Bears would lose, but i picked them anyway because i held out a little hope. now i realize we're just a bad, bad football team. i don't even see us making a push for the wild card with the way we're playing right now. a 7-9 record is very realistic at this point. by the way, what is everyones total win/loss record? i'm standing at 32-30 for the season. whose in the lead so far??

    Kenny-g 4-10 (Ouch brudda...sorry :))
JREM 5-9 (Ouch II, the Return)
Bryant 6-8 Well, a bit better than last week :)
And Cris 7-7 Mister Laydeezman is catchiing up!!!

    Standings now:

    1) Kenny-g 33-29
    2) JREM 33-29

    Bryant New Member

Well, it's that time of week again boys. :) I have to write a five page paper tomorrow, so i'm getting my picks in a little early this week lol. Let's get on with it!

    Dolphins at Texans
Man i've been flip flopping back and forth on this one. i really have no idea whose going to win this game. because i really don't know, i'm just going with the Dolphins even though they suck, because they need it a little more. hopefully they get the win and make me look good in the process.

    Jaguars at Kansas City
I'm picking Kansas City in an upset win. i really like Larry Johnson and Dwayne Bowe.

    Cleveland at New England
No Brainer. Really. Can the Browns even keep it close is the real question.

    Carolina at New Orleans
Carolina hasn't done anything to impress me lately. Where is Steve Smith? also, will Reggie Bush produce as the featured back for Nawlins? i'm picking the Saints to win because they have to win. if they don't they're done.

    NY Jets at Giants
Pennington is not that great to me. I'm picking the Giants.

    Seattle at Pittsburgh
Hines Ward is out in this game, and Polamalu is questionable. the Steelers can be beat in this game, and i think they will be. i'm picking Seattle in an upset.

    Arizona at St. Louis
St. Louis is too banged up. I'm picking Edge and the Cards in this game.

    Detroit at Washington
If Santana Moss was playing, i would say Washington, but he isn't, so it's a bit trickier. I'm picking Detroit in an upset on the road.

    Atlanta at Tennessee
I think John Joseph Harrington is playing much better lately (that sounds much better than Joey Harrington doesn't it lol) but i don't think they're gonna have enough to get it done on the road. i'm picking the Titans in this game.

    Tampa Bay at Indianapolis
Even though the Cadillac is out in this game, i kinda like their chances to win here. i think Tampa Bay can pull the upset, but will they? i don't think they will. i'm picking the Colts until further notice.

    San Diego at Denver
Javon Walker is out for Denver, and Travis Henry is questionable. on the other hand, San Diego has really looked like crap lately. i don't think that's enough to keep them from winning here though. i just don't think they're a 1-4 type team. they're better than that. hopefully.

    Baltimore at San Francisco
I don't think the Ravens are that good this year, but the Niners are terrible. i'll never pick them in any game against the AFC. 49ers find a way to lose, and Ravens win.

    Chicago at Green Bay
Tough game to pick here. it's just like the Chargers Broncos game though. i don't think the Chargers are as bad as their 1-3 record, and i don't think my Bears are nearly as bad as they're playing. because we need this game a little more than they do, i think we get the win at Lambeau somehow. i'll definitely be watching this game.

    Dallas at Buffalo
First of all, i can't believe this is a monday night game. how pathetic. and second of all, I think Dallas remains unbeaten before their big showdown with New England. Cowboys will win easily.

bring on your picks gentleman. 8)
