Because it's kind of silly creating an entirely new thread for each week's games, i'll just continue my picks here. Okay, now that that's out of the way, on to week 2!!

New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay (Great bounce back game for Nawlins...they win by a touch...or two lol)

Green Bay vs. Giants (If Eli plays in this game, Giants win, but since i don't know if he's playing or not, i have to pick the Packers. *Yuck*)

San Francisco vs. St. Louis (i will never be sold on San Francisco being a contender)

Atlanta vs. Jacksonville (Jags are just much better than the Falcons. Joey just can't get it done.)

Indianapolis vs. Tennessee (good game by Vince, but not enough to get past the Colts)

    Cincinnati vs. Cleveland (boooring LOL)

Buffalo vs. Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh's just a little better i think. the Bills are making progress though. they have a good team)

Houston vs. Carolina (Too much Smith against that average secondary in Houston)

Minnesota vs. Detroit (total snooze fest, but Detroit wins)

Dallas vs. Miami (Hmm...should i trust my intuition and pick Miami in the upset, or should i go safe and pick Dallas?? arrggh, this is tough, but i can't ignore my intuition two weeks in a row. i'm picking the Dolphins to win at home)

Seattle vs. Arizona (the Cardinals are still a very bad team)

Kansas City vs. Chicago (good game, but Bears win here)

Oakland vs. Denver (Denver, but if Culpepper plays for Oakland, this could be a really good game)

New York Jets vs. Baltimore (Pennington isn't playing, so Baltimore wins easy)

Washington vs.Philadelphia (Eagles SHOULD win this game...if not, they're gonna have a reeally long season)

San Diego vs. New England (Too much Brady & Moss)

**By the way, i was 10-6 with my picks last week. Let's keep track of our picks throughout the season. That way, whoever correctly picks the most games will get a wwbm.com trophy at seasons end. :) **

Alright, Bryant...I was 8-8 in week 1, so I'm already behind the 8 ball...but I'll bounce back, just like my Saints (they better!!!! :))

I like the idea of keeping our scores all season and see who ends up with the best record in february 2008!!!

Here are my week 2 predictions!!!

New Orleans at Tampa Bay - Saints, for redemption!

Green Bay at Giants - Giants, even with J-Load at QB!!

SF at St Louis - Bounce back game for the Sheep..I mean Rams

Atlanta at Jacksonville - Fallen birds against hungry predators

Indianapolis at Tennessee - Peyton-Robocop-Manning always win :(

Cincy at Cleveland - Tigers eat dogs

Buffalo at Pittsburgh - Heinz Field advantage...ketchupshed!!!

Houston at Carolina - Matt Schaub can't be all that good!

Minnesota at Detroit - Upset...but is it really an upset??

    Seattle at Arizona - Upset!!!

Kansas City at Chicago - One of Rex's few good games

Oakland at Denver - Oakland is confused...who's the QB???

NY Jets - Baltimore - Ray Ray's Revenge

Dallas at Miami - Romo does look improved!!

San Diego at New England - Pats want to show they can do it without the video!

Washington at Philadelphia - Is McNabb totally healthy though???

okay 10-2 was my best last week even though didn't pick in some games, but here is them all:

NO @ TB (NO Shows everybody they are the real deal.)

GB @ NYG (NYG wins but struggles.)

SF @ STL (Stl wins here don't know if there defense can stop jackson.)

ATL @ JAC (JAC wins.... or they must of needed leftwich. But I don't think they do.)

INDY @ TEN (Vince Young showed us last year and in that BCS Bowl that he can be the whole team, so they are my upset pick.)

Cincy @ CLE (If quinn plays then brown wins, he doesn't then cincy wins..simple as that because cincy has no defense and brady does have the ability to tear a bad defense apart.)

BUF @ PIT (PIT will be to rowled up for home opener but I never pick against them unless it was against the pats this early.)

HOU @ CAR (CAR will show houston that schaub is not the answer.)

MIN @ DET (Adrian Peterson just might break a record or two against them, MIN dominates and wins huge.)

SEA @ ARZ (Upset because whisenhunt knows their defense from the superbowl, he'll get em.)

KC @ CHI (BEARS uses them a0s stress relief doll   )

OAK @ DEN (Denver made their pass defense a even more nightmare with vet dre bly along side champ bailey.)

JETS @ BAL (BAL wins, chad pennington may lose his starting job.)

DAL @ MIA (Dallas all day if they can do that to NYG's defense then no tellin what they'll do to miami's.)

SD @ NE (If NE found a new way to cheat then they win, but if no cheating in this game they get crushed by SD. Im not only looking for an win but a high scoring game.)

WSH @ PHI (PHI strikes back in a big way.)

Man, I am 9-7 for the first 15 games...much better than last week huh??? :)

    Well, my sunday observations:

The NFL 2007 season has begun...but the SAINTS didn't get the memo...too many commercials, too much complacency, I dunno, but they SUCK right now!!!

The Pats are GOOD...I mean, GOOD...and they don't even need the video!

Grossman...well, is who we thought he was...lucky he has Urlacher, Briggs and Hester...read a defense and a crazy good special team!!

    Houston is 2-0...My GAAAD!!!!

Cleveland WON!!!! even though I didn't pick them, I am happy for Romoe Crennel!!!

Ladainian Tomlinson needs to shut up and play!!!

So does Reggie BUSH...less commercials, more yards!!!

    PEACE!!!

Man, this season is looking to be even better than last. I don't know about you guys but to be honest, the Super Bowl is New England's to lose. Sure, it can all go wrong and indeed they stole the Jets' defensive playbook but let's get real; this team is locked and loaded. With a (somewhat) resurgent Randy Moss, Brady has more options to get the ball to. I think yesterday's rout of the Chargers proves this team is ready to go.

Obviously i could be wrong but with their stiff defense and high octane offense, the Pats are the team to beat.

Looks like my record this week is almost identical to last week. I'm 9-6 right now, but if the Iggles win, i'll be 10-6 again. So an overall of 19-12. Not bad, but not great either. Jrem, we need to do a little better, i think KennyG is beating us right now. :)

    Good observations. Here's mine.

    1. What in the world is up with Nawlins man???? I knew they would have a little tougher time this season, but jeez, they look awful right now. I'm not saying that they can't turn it around, but if they lose next week to umm...the Titans i think, their season could be over. Bummer for you Jrem. :(

    2. Yesterdays win against the Chiefs was not a great one for my Bears. Hester is still the most explosive player in the league, and the D still looks good, but I wasn't pleased at all by inking out a close win against the Chiefs. We should have beat them 40-7 yesterday. I've been a BIG Rex supporter, but now my confidence in him is swaying. I'm starting to lose faith. Because of our terrible quarterback history, i want so badly for him to be our franchise qb, but if yesterday is any indication, i just don't know if he has what it takes anymore. I'll give him 2 or 3 more games to get it turned around, or else he has to be axed. Waay too inconsistent, even for me.

    3. New England might literally go undefeated. The only team that could potentially take them out is the Colts. When they play later on in the season at Indianapolis, that will be a game for the ages.

    4. Cincinnati giving up 50 points and 200 yards rushing to the Browns!?? Cincy is done.

    5. And lastly, the Chargers look vastly overrated right now. Philip Rivers is playing like Rex Grossman, and LaDainian is playing like Cedric Benson lol. They could possibly be one and done again come January. :)

Ok, I'm 9-7 this week, so 17-15 for the first two weeks...hmmm, not that good, at least I'm over .500!!!

Hey my man Kenny-g looks like you had a rough week huh? And by the way, when u pick, pick one team only buddy...no IFS!!! :)

Well, end of week 2, we'll wait for the Titans here in Nawlins, hopefully my Saints will wake their monster offense...or else we're DONE!!!

BRYANT??? are you finally opening ur eyes on sexy Rexie??? the guy is talented, don't get me wrong, he is just in the wrong business...just imagine Rex playing for a team like the Bengals or even the Saints, with a poor defense...nobody would even be talking about him I tell you!!!

Well, can't wait for next monday night!!!

I went 7-9, damn tough week for me overall, but steelers on a good start, They left alot out there and not only still won but was in BUFFALO territory 8 times, and the redzone 6 times scoring on all six this could of easily been a 42-3 win, goes to show steelers can move the football, just TDs to work on, but the great news with that is it is early enough in the season to work on that.

Alright fellows, it's that time again...week 3, here are my predictions!!!

Arizona at Baltimore - Ravens D too much for the Cards

San Diego at Green Bay - I am not sold on the pack yet

Indianapolis a Houston - Once again, "Robot Peyton" wins

Minnesota at Kansas City - Well...ok...I have no argument :)

Buffalo at New England - Talk about a no-brainer

Miami at NY Jets - The J-E-T-S get their first!

Detroit at Philadelphia - McNabb backs up his comments and does a little extra!!

San Francisco at Pittsburgh - Quietly, the Steelers win

St Louis at Tampa Bay - Hmmm...maybe the rams wake up??

Jacksonville at Denver - Upset alert number one

Cleveland at Oakland - Oakland gets its first

Cincinnati at Seattle - Seahawks rebound, cincy drowns

Carolina at Atlanta - When does Leftwich start??

NY Giants at Washington - Giant collapse!!

Dallas at Chicago - The Bears at home win despite Rex

Tennessee at New Orleans - Will the real Saints offense please stand up?

    There you have it...the expert's picks!! :D

    Interesting picks Jrem. Here's mine.

    Arizona over Baltimore -
I can't believe it, but i'm picking the Cards to win this game. Their running game is clicking pretty good.

San Diego over Green Bay -
The Chargers have played two of the stiffest defenses in the league, so i'm guessing they bounce back pretty well against the pack. They'll win here.

    Indianapolis over Houston -
    No Andre Johnson....no CHANCE.

    Kansas City over Minnesota-
Umm...tough one here. it's always tough when you're trying to decide between two bad teams, and who wants it more. because i'm thinking about who wants it more, i'm picking the Chiefs. and the Vikings have no quarterback or wide receivers.

    New England over Buffalo-
Pats here. I knew Moss would make an impact, but he really is looking like Randy of old out there. when he's in a groove, there's no coverage to stop that guy. i'm a Bears fan, so i know what Randy used to do to us when he played with Minnesota.

    Miami over NY Jets -
Dang. Hard game to pick cause both teams suck pretty bad. i'm picking the Dolphins. and no, i don't know why either lol.

    Detroit over Philadelphia -
I want so badly to pick the Iggles to beat the kiddies, but i can't. There's nothing that the Iggles have done that makes me believe they'll be able to score on, or stop Detroit. Lions win here and advance to 3-0! wow, i can't believe i just said that!

    Pittsburgh over San Francisco -
I was wrong about the Niners defense. That unit is legit looking with Clements back there. However, Fast Willie and the Steelers are looking impressive. Good win for Pitt.

Tampa Bay over St. Louis -
Jeff Garcia to Joey Galloway is pretty good. And their lineback Rudd is a pretty darn good tackler. Bucs win if the Caddilac gets rolling a little bit.

    Denver over Jacksonville -
Hmmm....i could definitely see the upset alert for this one. HOWEVER, i don't trust the Jags, or David Garrard. Plus they're on the road. Denver wins here.

    Cleveland over Oakland -
Oakland won't win a game until they start the other quarterback. You know who i'm talking about. Cleveland wins...i can't believe i just said that. Browns suck, but they don't suck like tha Raiders.

    Cincinnati over Seattle -
I sound like a hypocrite for saying that Cincy is done last week, and they very well may be with that pathetic, swiss cheese defense, but AFC is always superior to NFC, so Bengals win here.

    Carolina over Atlanta -
Steve Smith....Randy Moss...Marvin Harrison...T.O. you get the picture. too much Smith. Atlanta sucks too.

    NY Giants over Washington -
Giants win this game! I don't know how they do it, but i think they do somehow!

    Chicago over Dallas
    -
We are playing at home, so that gives us the advantage. Romo is good, so i won't underestimate them. lets see how their offense stacks up against our D though. and pleeeease, pleeeease kick it to Hester. i dare you!!! :smt003

    New Orleans over Tennessee-
The Titans are a good team, so the Saints HAVE to be careful here. If their offense shows up they should win easy. And i expect them to do just that. because it's sad seeing a team go 0-3, i'm actually rooting for the Saints in this one. yeah, i know. :smt056 8)

By the way, through 2 weeks of play, my win/loss record is 19-13. Jrem, and Kenny G, please keep me updated on your win/loss records okay. i'm really wanting to win this thing so i can be crowned best wwbm.com NFL picker at seasons end. i want all the bragging rights! LOL :D

    JREMINATOR New Member

Bry, I am 17-15 for the first two weeks!!

Kenny-G went 10-2 the first week...but since he didn't pick the rest of the games, I suggest that they ar forfeited, meaning that he was 10-6 for the first week! He then went 7-9 in week 2, which puts him at 17-15 with me!

So you lead us by two games Bry, but I can see you took some crazy chances today, pick the Cards to beat the Ravens at Baltimore is bold!!! same as picking Detroit against Philly...Philly has looked bad, but you know they've been there, done that!!

Well, let the games begin!!! :D

  14. kenny_g

    kenny_g New Member

Yeah I went 17-15 but that is a good record you got bryant but Im a catch up this week now I know some teams strengths and weaknesses, so here are mine week three picks:

BAL over ARZ - Ken Whisnehunt didn't have an answer for them when he was here, and judging by the offense he is running in arizona it seems the same kind of offense baltimore exposed.

GB over SD - Favre can and will light up their secondary and GB has a defense which spells trouble for Rivers and that offensive line. I watched that NE game and he was making big time mistakes when he was under pressure. This will be Rivers' "06 ben roethlisberger" year

INDY over HOU - HOU time is up right here too much defense too much bob sanders, too much peyton manning, too much etc.

MIN over KC - I went on defense with this game, offenses aint what I thought it would be this year with these two teams and MIN has a stronger defense.

NE over BUF - They will actually give them a tough game but too much moss and brady combo in this match up, they don't have nobody that could watch him and nobody on that defensive line is going to get through that offensiveline.

MIA over NYJ - Trent Green bounces back NYJ doesn't have a quarterback, they need a quarterback mangini.

PHI over DET - Philly is a joke this year if they don't win this because detroit is only on a roll because of their offense not their defense. Their defense is not even ranked in the top 10.

PGH over SF - I think only game I will probably pick against them is that NE game  but it is still probably. San Fran has a good defense, but if you can't score much on the steelers especially against them this season then they are going to rack up the points as the game goes on. One thing I like about this bruce ariens offense is that it is built to take chunks of yardage in a play rather it be running or passing. They just need more TDs thats all.

STL over TB - Stephen Jackson's explodes in this game.

DEN over JAC - Low scoring game again between these two but denver has the edge with a 2-0 record in low scoring games this year. So experience in this situation will kill JAC.

Oak over CLE - Derek Anderson meets a defense to prove last week was a fluke.

SEA over CINCY - No Defense versus an offense with a runningback way better than jamal lewis looking for their breakout game. OOOh!!! I can't watch

CAR over ATL - carolina over atlanta. Try everybody over atlanta   Damn!

NYG over WSH - Time for washington to take a seat, nobody on that giants team is going to let them go 3-0 and 0-3. Eli aint that bad.

DAL over CHI - Chicago got to score in this game or as the game goes on their defense will get tired and points from dallas will once again start ringing up like a person who won the powerball lottery on a shopping spree

TEN over NO - They know how to contain a running quarterback but he runs differently from Vick. It is harder to tackle vince young and he has wide recievers although not real great but can hold on to the football.

    Let the games begin.

  15. LaydeezmanCris

    LaydeezmanCris New Member

    Damn, guys

Sorry i'm late, but i have to join the prediction team. My pick to win are highlighted in BOLD.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Baltimore Ravens - The Cardinals have a free flowing offense, but Baltimore's defense will be crucial and too much for Arizona imo and that'll just put them over them.

San Diego Chargers vs Green Bay Packers - No seriously, does anyone really expect much on an upset? I know i don't. San Diego are coming off a resounding loss to New England and would want to get that game out of their system with a pulverizing performance, which is just what they'll do. The honeymoon will be over for Green Bay.

St Louis Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Actually, i'm seriously going to gamble this one because i really cannot easily predict the outcome of this one. Tampa Bay were dope last week against the Saints last week but i wonder if they can compound that game with another great game. But the Rams have a lot of talent too and overall, i think they'd pick up the W to keep their season alive.

San Francisco Niners vs Pittsburgh Steelers - Sure, both teams are undefeated (yet) and Frisco have improved offensively, but they are not on the level of Pittsburgh. The Steelers have scored 60 points in two game (very impressive) and they have a very seasoned offense when they get going. San Francisco will put up a bit of a challenge but i tell you, by third quarter, this game will be a done deal.

Detroit Lions vs Philadelphia Eagles - Forget McNabb's comments about black quarterbacks during the week, the issue related to him that should be the most discussed is how he performs against the Lions. If he fumbles and Philly lose (which i think they will), they will go from a team being seen as a regrouping one to becoming the laughing stock of the NFC East. By the time the Lions' offense groups, they'd run out the Eagles.

Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets - This should be very interesting, for me too. My favorite team versus my fiancee's favorite team. These two are bitter rivals and both have lost their two games, so there will be some desperation in this game. The return of Pennington to the Jets' lineup should boost their confidence, but it'll not be good enough. i'm really going to go crazy and give the Dolphins this one and here's why i'm doing so - no Justin Miller and Miami's defense will be too tough for the Jets. Go Dolphins !!!!

Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots - No seriously!!! The Pats are just too damn good. They're locked and loaded and i just cannot see how this will not be 0-3 for Buffalo, except for some crazy miracle.

Minnesota Vikings vs Kansas City Chiefs - One word, Johnson. Case closed.

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans - Before the season began, i honestly believed the Colts could repeat but their defense has looked a little suspicious in their first two games. But it won't matter (now) because they'll beat Houston. The Texans do not have their Pro Bowl receiver Andre Johnson and that'll really hurt them, badly. It might be a little closer than we expect, but Indianapolis will be too much for them.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Seattle Seahawks - Only a few teams go to Seattle and just pick up wins easily, and the Bengals simply aren't one of them. I expect this game to be very offense-minded, with the Seahawks giving the Bengals a good spanking.

Cleveland Browns vs Oakland Raiders - I would have gone with the Browns, but they are a very inconsistent team. The Raiders will bring them right back to earth, but it should be close.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Denver Broncos - Defense is the answer to this game, and is the simple reason why it's all Denver's to lose.

New York Giants vs Washington Redskins - The FedEx Field should be wild with this game. The home team are a very solid offensive team. If they stick to what they do best, they'll be able to overcome a Giants team still struggling for an identity.

Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons - Life without Michael Vick is very tough and will remain so with the sub-par performance of Joey Harrington. The Panthers should do just fine against the Falcons.

Dallas Cowboys vs Chicago Bears - Sorry Bryant, but Rexie is very inconsistent. He's no Tony Romo. I know defense determines games (a lot), but the Cowboys are a wider, much in depth team to contain. I give this one to Dallas.

Tennessee Titans vs New Orleans Saints - Two of the game's brightest young stars - Reggie Bush and Vince Young - face off in what is sure to be a fascinating game. The Saints will look to win this one as they are winless. They must improve offensively if they are to stand a chance, but i expect them to do just that.

Cris, welcome to the club bro! this is getting interesting. :) it'll make it that much more sweeter when i come out on top at seasons end. :D anybody else wanna join?? Wedlock? OmahaBoy? Bmanz? i definitely would love making this an annual thing.

by the way, all the picks are in, and we're locked and loaded headed into sundays games. i have to admit that i took some major risks this week, and i could either end up 6-10 or 12-4. i'll either come back down to the pack, or i'll pull ahead even further. it's a gamble, but for this week i'm willing to try it! :)

Alright, let's see how my first week was.

I predicted that Baltimore would just sneak over Arizona and i was correct. It was a close game, with the Ravens edging the Cardinals 26-23. So that 1-0. Good start for me :D

In the San Diego vs Green Bay game, it was my prediction that the Chargers, led by MVP Tomlinson, would beat Green Bay but boy, was i wrong. Brett Favre proved yet again why he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He was amazing and i knew it was all over he passed that 57 yard pass to Greg Jennings. So, the Chargers lost that one. That's 1-1 so far. :(

St Louis Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked like it was going to be close but it wasn't at all. The Bucs won in style, with a resounding 24-3 victory over a less than stellar Rams team. Thats 1-2. Damn

Obviously, i expected the Steelers to win and they did. That's 2-2. Good call here. Obvious, but good.

Detroit Lions vs Philadelphia Eagles - I had second thoughts about this one actually, but i decided to go with my instincts. And i was wrong. I guess the Eagles knew that if they lost this one, their season is pretty much over so they felt they had to win. But man, you should've seen Philly's defense. Nine sacks is not something easy to achieve. I drop one point and now it's 2-3.

Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets was close too but not close enough. So let's see, i drop 2-4 and lose $100 bucks because i had a bet with my fiancee. Great

New England Patriots, honestly, are going to win this thing if they carry on playing the way they did against Buffalo. Sorry Manning fans, but the best QB in the league is with the Pats. This Brady-Moss combo is working better than many expected. It was also nice to see Paul Pierce and Kevin "KG" Garnett in the house. Hopefully, the Celtics can be another dominant New England team this year. Current score = 3-4.

Minnesota Vikings vs Kansas City chiefs - Ditto. 4-4.

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans - Ditto again. Gee, who knew  . 5-4

The Seahawks/Bengals game was actually closer than i thought but, as i predicted, offense was the x-factor. The moment of truth came when the 'Hawks went up 24-21 with just over a min to go and Palmer (again) screwed up. That's 6-4.

Cleveland Browns vs Oakland Raiders - Quite entertaining actually. It was a great game, with both sides seemingly afraid to take a lead for some reason but turned out good. But honestly, i am not sad to see Daunte Culpepper leave us for Oakland. That guy is a waste. I'm sitting pretty at 7-4.

Jacksonville did better than i thought they'd do and won resoundingly. The Broncos looked like they could stage a dramatic comeback but they could not quite get it together. Score = 7-5.

The Washington Wizards, in my opinion, gave away the game to the Giants. The Giants didn't "win" it. I thought Ladell Betts was gonna have a great game but he didn't. But to be fair, the Giants' defense was great at the end. 7-6.

Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Hawks - No seriously? 8-6.

The Bears had their asses handed to them by the Cowboys. (take that, Bryant) ). When will you get it, Bry, sexy rexie is just too inconsistent? What was he thinking when he made that pass that was intercepted by Anthony Henry, in the fourth quarter? Damn!!! Bry, you're my man and all, but the Bears ain't going nowhere this year.

Wow, i finished 9-6 in the first week. Not too bad for a guy who's only been following football religiously for seven years. Hopefully, i can make it 10 tonight when the Titans take on the Saints. I still stand by my prediction and believe the Saints will be the better team (and ultimately prevail).
