Hehehe...I couldn't focus, staring at your sig, Bry, so I decided to give her a little competition!! Alright folks, I'm going to be crazy busy this WE, so here are my predictions for this WE (Those damn Packers already made me 0-1 along with Bry...man, I too can't stand the Cowboys...hmmmmph!!!) Here we go!!! San Francisco at Carolina: Man, the Panthers finally win at home!!! Jacksonville at Indianapolis: It's still the Colts, even banged up!!! San Diego at Kansas City: These damn Chargers could very well lose this one! but I have them anyway! NY Jets at Miami: Oh my...ok, J-E-T-S!!! I hope! I'd like to see 16-0 and 0-16 in the same season (sadistical laughter!!!) Detroit at Minnesota: Vikings seem to be rising, Detroit seems to be falling! Seattle at Philadelphia: Well, the magic of A. J. Feeley was a one-game wonder! Atlanta at St Louis: And Rams get another win and a step further from the number one overall pick next April! Houston at Tennessee: Sorry Texans, bad time to catch angry Titans!! Buffalo at Washington: The death of Sean Taylor is going to make this team rally around one another!! Cleveland at Arizona: The Browns' offense has just become unstoppable, the Cardinals just find ways to lose games! Denver at Oakland: Well, the Broncos better redeem themselves after they screwed it up big time against the Bears last week!!! Tampa Bay at New Orleans: Saints know it's do or die...I like them at home (of course, each time I pick them they lose...oh well...) NY Giants at Chicago: Hmmm...which Eli is going to show up? which Rexy?? ok, I pick the Giants to rebound from their embarassing home loss!!! Cincinnati at Pittsburgh: Steelers are a bit puzzling...they dominate one day, the next they lay an egg...Lion Steelers or chicken Steelers? I say Lions!!! New Enlgand at Baltimore: Hmmm...I feel like this one will be closer than most ppl think...upset alert maybe? Well, I don;t know but in doubt, I pick Brady and Co!!!
haha...i like the new siggy Jrem! way to represent the aints. even though she's wearing a hated "Saints" top, she's still pretty darn hot anyway. by the way, good picks from you and Wed. i'll have mine submitted tomorrow afternoon. it should be an interesting week boys, as each of these games could go either way. man i love football!
oh, and if Cris and Kenny want a little eye candy for their siggy's too, here's a couple that i wouldn't mind looking at for the rest of the season lol. They're a little raunchy, but it's all in good fun.
Here we go, by the way how do you put those pics in your sig I have not been able to do it. CAR over SF - Carolina still has a defense. SF still doesn't JAC over INDY - They look scary right now...alot of weapons on that team, different from last year they were up&down now they are just up. SD over KC - San diego is going to win their division as to why I pick them in this game. NYJ over MIA - If steelers couldn't do anything with that defense then miami certainly can't. MIN over DET - This is where things change in the NFC. Adrian peterson is the most dangerous player to let in the playoffs. Man if they let them in someone is going to take a hit that would ruin their storybook season, Im tellin you wrong man to wanna play against in the playoffs. Sea over Phil - Seattle is slowly getting it's groove. Philly is out of the playoffs forget it, done, sorry. STL over ATL - atlanta by all rights should be another winless team. HOU over TEN - Tennessee's bridges is falling down  WSH over BUF - Emotional high is not the only reason they will win, they are just simply a better football team than bills. CLE over ARZ - Man they scare us here in pittsburgh, because I think they are going to the playoffs. DEN over OAK - Denver got some groove as well, but lets see if they can keep it. Should win, could lose. TB ove NO - New Orleans will be officially eliminated form the playoffs and tampa bay will take a step closer. CHI over NYG - $100 bucks say they kick to devin hester  CIN over PIT - Steelers are an inconsistent team this year and bengals are riding a 2 game streak. It is a toughy but inconstincy is very difficult to over look, and if they do win well that is because of the inconstinency, them showing up whenever they want to and santonio holmes is still out for this game, gotta be smart rather they win or lose. Plus Im picking the steelers to be the ones to upset the patriots this year. NE over BAL - I know philly probably put up a blue print, but ravens don't have the intelligence to figure out that blueprint  Too much for them to figure out.
hey Kenny, all you have to do is upload your pic to photobucket, copy the IMG code, come back here, go up to profile, find where it says "signature," and paste your image code there. save it, and you should be good to go.
Okay, on to my picks. I said i would have them submitted by the afternoon, but it's better late than never right lol. San Francisco at Carolina I liked the way San Francisco won on the road last week to beat Arizona. Kurt Warner passed for 485 yards on the niners, which is insane, but they still won, so they get cool points for that. Carolina is just not very good period. Because they still haven't found a way to get Steve Smith the ball, they'll lose again. Buffalo at Washington I like the Redskins in this game because like Kenny says, i just think they're a better team, and an inspired team too. Houston at Tennessee I think the Titans will find a way to win this game somehow. I don't know how they do it, but i think they do. It's just a hunch i guess. This is strictly an instinct pick. Not a rational one. Atlanta at St. Louis I would have liked the Rams even more if Marc bulger was playing, but because they still have the best player on either team in Stephen Jackson, they'll find a way to win. Seattle at Philadelphia I was gonna pick the Eagles at first, but now i'm convinced that the Seahawks will win, because their defense has been great, and Kerney has been a force to be reckoned with off that edge. Hawks should get this one. Detroit at Minnesota I'm sorry, but the Vikings just cannot score the football offensively, while the Lions can. Even though they're getting Adrian Peterson back, i don't trust Tarvaris Jackson one bit. I think Detroit is gonna end Minnesota's hope for a playoff birth this week. Jacksonville at Indianapolis The Colts are banged up, and are just not the same team without Freeney and Harrison. They look well...average. The Jags are a team on the rise in the division, and that running game is virtually unstoppable. Not to mention Garrard just does not turn the football over. I'm picking the Jags to win in the upset. San Diego at Kansas City The Chiefs just aren't very good right now. Is it Brodie Croyle or is it Damon Huard? Herm Edwards please make up your friggin mind dude. Priest Holmes (one of my fav. players) is officially done, Larry Johnson is still banged up, and they've traded Michael Bennett to the Buccaneers. Basically, they can't pass, and they don't have a running game. They'll lose to the Chargers guaranteed. NY Jets at Miami If Ricky Williams didn't go down for the season after one measley game, i would have actually liked Miami to pull an upset. But this team is just flat out terrible, and they don't have any playmakers at any of the skill positions except for Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas, who are getting up there in age. I like Kellen Clemens coming on for the Jets, and Thomas Jones running the football of late. Jets should win here. Denver at Oakland Oakland is such a sorry excuse for a team. They shouldn't start Russel at all this year, and save him from such a miserable supporting cast. Draft a wide receiver next year, then let him play. But until then, let him sit his tail on the bench and watch. Anyway, Denver should win here. Cleveland at Arizona Really tough game to call right here. Clevelands next five opponents are Arizona, NY Jets, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and San Francisco. If they win out, they will finish 12-4, which according to this cupcake schedule, is a definite possibility, but i think they're going to lose one along the way and this could be it. However, i don't think it's going to happen. I think they're going to lose to Cincinnati in week 16 and finish 11-5. So Cleveland get this one i think. Tampa Bay at New Orleans The Saints are another team pulling for a wild card spot. I think they'll be hungry and ready to play. If Jeff Garcia wasn't banged up, i think the Bucs would win, but he is, and i'm not trusting Bruce Gradkowski at the helm. Even though that Saints defense is some of the worst i've ever seen, that offense can still light it up occasionally, so the Saints should probably win this one. NY Giants at Chicago I think the Giants are a real good team when they're clicking, but they're not clicking right now, so i'm picking Chicago to win, despite that great pass rush of theirs. If it's a turnover fest, that should play into our hands quite a bit i think. The Bears have been winning ugly all season, so if that's the case, i expect them to win again. Plus we're at home, so i hope that makes a little difference. Come on Rex, win us this game!! Cincinnati at Pittsburgh Steelers are gonna win this game, cause they're gonna go into New England with a lot of confidence and give them a run for their money. It's just meant to be. Pittsburgh is the only team left on the schedule that can play with New England, so if they lose to the lowly Bengals it would be too much of an upset. So i have to pick the Steelers to win here, even though i've gone back and forth, back and forth on this pick. New England at Baltimore I think the Eagles exposed the Patriots secondary quite a bit last week. The only true corner they have is Samuel, and if he is not making plays, their DB's are consistently getting beat. Plus Colvin is out for the season, which means they'll have a little trouble stopping the run. I think this will be a very close game. If A.J Feely could keep it close, i think the Ravens will try and keep it close. Patriots should continue to win though.
Okay, i already got off to a decent 1-0 start but now's time for the big thing. San Francisco 49ers vs Carolina Panthers - Both of these teams fucking suck donkey cock, but i pick Frank Gore to come through. It'd be close like last week, with a FG being the decider. Buffalo Bills vs Washington Redskins - I feel for this team. I know it'd be hard for them to focus, but i hope they will win this one for their departed teammate. Rest in peace, Sean Taylor. Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans - The Titans have dropped all three games without Albert Haynesworth. I tell you, if not for Tennessee's defense, they'd be one of the suckiest teams in the league. Their offense doesn't exist, and Vince Young is still not there yet. But as the playoffs are drawing near, the Titans would love that wildcard spot badly. Atlanta Falcons vs St Louis Rams - Okay, let me put this game in perspective - the Cowboys have won as many games in November as these two teams combined have done in the entire season. Enough said. Seattle Seahawks vs Philadelphia Eagles - I like the Eagles here. Honestly, if they had better players, they'd have beaten the Pats last week. A.J. Feeley deserves to continue in his starting position. Brian Westbrook will need all the help he can get, though. But the Eagles will be okay eventually. Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings - I'm skeptical about this one. The Lions play good defense, but the Vikings have won 3 of 4. Plus Adrian Peterson is back so that's why i'm picking the 'Kings. If it goes wrong, oh well ....... Jacksonville Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts - The Colts are dropping a staggering 10 percent of catchable passes, fifth-worst in the league. But they are at home, and so i'm picking them to hustle to the end. It'd be tough though. The Jags aren't losing 29-7 like they did six weeks ago at home to this same Indy team. San Diego Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs - If a team ends the Raiders' losing streak, that ought to tell you everything about them. However, in all fairness to KC, Larry Johnson has been out for some time and they've played well with him - and won. New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins - Will the Dolphins finally win? I don't think so but these two teams are as good (or bad, depending on how you want to put it) as each other so we'll see. Denver Broncos vs Oakland Raiders - And with the second pick of the first round of the NFL Draft '08, the Raiders choose ..........  Cleveland Browns vs Arizona Cardinals I'm being tempted to pick the Browns after the Cardinals' inexplicable home defeat to San Francisco last weekend, but i expect a decent double-figure rebound. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints - Sure, they don't have Jeff Garcia for this game, but they're 7-4. And Naw'lins have dropped a few at home this season, so ....... New York Giants vs Chicago Bears - Who would've thought it, the matchup of two lazy-eyed, inconsistent, throw-it-up-for-grabs pseudo elite quarterbacks? Defensive players, enjoy your honeymoon. Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers - I know the field was disgustingly unbearable, but after last week's yawner, the perfect way for the Steelers to recuperate would be to convincingly pound a weak, defensively absent team like the Bengals. On a sidenote, four high school games? Then a college matchup? And you wonder why that pitch was fucked up. New England Patriots vs Baltimore Ravens - In case you didn't know this, you do now. The Ravens' QBs have been sacked 27 times this season, they are averaging only 16.5 points per game, and oh, they're on a five game skid. Meanwhile, New England have clinched the division title and did i forget to mention the fact that they're undefeated? Oh yeah, i just did so. Can one ask for a more lopsided game? Kinda reminds me of Operation Just Cause when Noriega was surrounded by US troops and had loud rock music blasting through his ears.
Putting aside my 1-0 start ...... The Panthers scored 4 touchdowns, the same number of TDs they have had in their past four games. Well, tough love for them but they fucked up my record. :x 1-1 I feel really weird reviewing the Washington/Buffalo game, for obvious reasons. At first, i just couldn't watch the highlights because i couldn't get my mind off Sean Taylor. Just watching the whole tributes got to me and i really felt emotional. His team lost but the guys gave it all to him. Once again, rest in peace Sean Taylor.  1-2 Vince Young went 21-for-31 for 248 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against Houston. Not bad, but he needs to become more consistent for the Titans to become a force to be reckoned with. 2-2 The Falcons and Rams were suprisingly very efficient in the redzone but because the Rams were superior, they took away the game. 3-2 For the second straight week, A.J. Feeley ended what would have been a superb outing with an intercepted pass. It was also good to see Shaun Alexander doing his thing once again. Ever since he got onto that Madden curse shit, he's been fucked up. 3-3 Bryant, i knew you must have been high when you said that the Vikings cannot score the ball offensively. Just playing, my man, but the duo of Tarvaris Jackson and Adrian Peterson proved you wrong. Jackson went 18-for-24 for 204 yards ands two TDs. Peterson did his bit by rushing for 116 yards. Now that is impressive. 4-3 The Colts looked shaky as hell against Jacksonville, but i tell you, Reggie Wayne is a star. He's really quick, can run patterns and he's an elite wide receiver for real. 5-3 I know i have said time and time again that the Chargers are done for the season, but who knew they could step up on defense like that? Antonio Cromartie picked off two passes and Stephen Cooper got 10 tackles. Those seem like Pro Bowl numbers to me. 6-3 I think we can all agree that the Dolphins have that #1 pick  7-3 Finally, Jamarcus Russell made his debut for the Raiders. He didn't do too bad, given that he wasn't on for long. Of course we'll have to see how consistent he can be. 7-4 In the sloppiest game of the week, the Cardinals bounced back from their humiliating defeat to the 49ers last week to see off a Cleveland team who look like playoff contenders themselves. 8-4 Somehow, someway, i just knew that New Orleans would blow it at home. And i was right. However, two people deserve the credit for the Bucs : coach Jon Gruden and Luke McCown. Jon Gruden decided to go for it on fourth-and-2 from the 28 yard line which eventually led to the winning TD with 17 seconds left. Luke McCown deserves a piece of the cake for his excellent job deputising for the injured Jeff Garcia, who's being excellent himself. He completed 29 of 37 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. What a gut check!!!! 9-4 Bryant, what is it with your team? They just aren't consistent enough. They allowed six sacks on Rex Grossman. Where is the offensive line? Nonexistent in my opinion. 10-4 Somehow, i was scared that the Bengals would end the Steelers' unbeaten home streak. Boy, was i wrong? After coming out with all guns blazing in the first quarter, the Bengals fell asleep at the wheel after that. Also, those penalties hurt 'em bad. On a lighter note, i want to thank John Madden for pointing out to me that Carson Palmer has perhaps the longest fingers for a QB. The way that dude grips the ball is scary. 11-4 Yet another good week for me at 11-4. If i can make it 12 tonight, even better.
OMG That monday night game was hilarious from a steelers fan point of view, PATS narrowly escapes with a 27-24 win, man the patriots has been exposed, but once again it goes to show you have to play them nearly perfect....last week it was an interception that kept the eagles from winning, this week it was defensive holidng on 4th & 8 in the final minute.
WEEK 13 RESULTS AND PICKS FOR WEEK 14. I went 8 and 5 for week 13.My amended record is now 93 and 80.According to the press, week 13 only had 13 games for 12/2&3 and week 12's games included the Thanksgiving match ups. Week 14's picks are:CHI,TENN,GB,HOU,CIN,DAL,JAX,BUFF,PHI,MINN,SEA,KC,CLE,IND,NO and PITT is my upset special
Hey Wed, our picks for the week that just finished were for all 16 games, including Friday's GB at Dal...I looked at your picks and you went 11 and 5, not 8 and 5!!! I also went 11 and 5, while Laydeezman went 12 and 4 to increase his lead, Bry went 7 and 9 (Ooops, my man, what happened? and former leader Kenny-g went 9 and 7 So here are the updated scores my friends (last week in parentheses) Cris: 108-68 (96-64) JREM: 106-70 (95-65) Kenny: 105-71 (96-64) Bry: 99-77 (92-68 ) Wed: 96-80 (85-75) Wedlock closes the gap, for Bry last place is now looming, Cris is Cruising, I'm not far behind, Kenny has lost a little bit of that magic, even picking against his Steelers...hehehe...4 weeks to go folks, 4 weeks to go!!!! ps: By the way, the Pats are going 18 and 0, the football gods have decided so!!
Picks. Okay, week 12 would have included the other 3 games.........week 13 only had 13 teams playing because of the holiday. It doesn't matter, but I'm not incorrect in saying 8 and 5 for week 13. I'm going by the published schedule, are you guys just making up when the week began and ended for the other 3 games? I'm just asking to keep track. How are you going to decide regarding the upcoming Saturday games? Thanks.
Man, last night's game was close as hell. I was pissing myself in bed watching it. I was thinking, "Is this really it for the Pats? Nah it can't be". Because to be honest, the Ravens were clearly the better team last night. I won't say the Pats got lucky, but clearly they're not unstoppable. They put so much pressure on Tom Brady; in fact, Brady got sacked twice. Which makes you think, why can't the Ravens play like that every time? Because if they did, they'd be on a tear of their own. I felt really irritated when the color commentators were asking if Jabar Gaffney got the ball in time for it to count as a TD. I felt that was a really stupid thing to suggest as he clearly had it in his hands and his two feet were inbounds. Also, the desperation pass by Mark Clayton would have ended New England's streak if only it were two yards ahead. That Hail Mary pass was perfect from Boller and it goes to show you how dodgy the Pats can seem defensively. If i were the Indianapolis and Pittsburgh offensive coordinators, i'd take note from this game.
hmmm....i was watching the game at work (yeah, you heard right....at WORK  ) and New England seriously dodged a bullet. they couldn't stop the run, they couldn't stop the pass, they couldn't protect Brady, they were just getting outplayed in every facet of the game. if it weren't for Baltimore calling that timeout before the 4th down stop, it would have been game over. I definitely think New England was lucky to win. if they don't fix their stuff before next week, Pittsburgh is gonna walk in there and smoke em. i'm serious. that defense of theirs is WEAK.
Noooooo!!!! I'm near last place again!! I can't believe some of these teams losing games that they're not supposed to be losing, and some of these teams (ala the Minnesota Vikings) putting up 40 points in consecutive weeks. is the world coming to an end?? i knew Adrian Peterson was probably the best back in football, but for that guy to come back off an injury, and rush for 100 plus yards and 2 touchdowns is just flat out INSANE. please god do NOT let them get a quarterback, because they're going to run the NFC for years if they do. and i can't believe my Bears gave that game to the Giants on a silver platter!! that was disgusting!! if anybody ever says that Eli is better than Rex again, i think i'll puke. he got outplayed the entire game by Rex, but our receivers keep dropping catchable balls! Devin Hester...wide open for an 81 yard touchdown reception....and he DROPS it!!! UNBELIEVABLE. that's just how our season has gone man. it sucks. well, we have a game on thursday against the skins, and i'm seriously debating on whether or not i should actually pick against the Bears this week. i'm losing hope for this season. good thing Jrem's Saints are just as bad. we all know misery loves company.
As far as I am concerned, the Pats are a team of destiny...and trust me, they might just kill the Steelers at home, bcoz, remember, we have seen the Steelers lose to the Jets... Alright, I'm picking for next week, which starts tomorrow!!! Chicago at Washington: Redskins are in a funk...the Bears are desperate!!! Miami at Buffalo: Dolphins, as I said before, will go 0 and 16!!! St Louis at Cincinnati: Bengals at home Dallas at Detroit: What are Lions fans thinking now? I'll tell you, they say to themselves: "It was too good to be true"!!! Oakland at Green Bay: Packers should bounce back from their disappointing loss against the Cowboys Tampa Bay at Houston: UPSET!!! which would be great for my struggling Aints...I mean Saints! Carolina at Jacksonville: Hey Vinny, this defense is tougher! NY Giants at Philadelphia: For some reason I think the Giants got a break last week...Eli Manning is inconsistent and Philly is desperate too!!! San Diego at Tennessee: Wow, I'm not sure who to pick here, but well, I'll go with the Titans who seem to be regaining their form a little bit! Minnesota at San Francisco: Can you say around 200 yds for Adrian Peterson??? Arizona at Seattle: Well, Seahawks always do that...they don't look impressive, but they win! Pittsburgh at New England: I said it, they are the chosen team!!! Kansas City at Denver: Well, maybe the Broncos have a chance to win one and save face a little bit!!! Cleveland at NY Jets: The Browns are for real...a few mistakes doomed them last week, but nnot this time!!! Indianapolis at Baltimore: The Ravens will have spent so much energy trying to beat the Pats, Peyton Manning will just feast on them! New Orleans at Atlanta: This Saints team has found every way possible to blow games, but they take this one! or will they?? well, I hope they will!
Partly because of Joe Gibbs' (foolish) decision to call back to back timeouts, the 'Skins lost last weekend on what was supposed to be a tribute victory. However, they've had their problems long before the demise of Taylor. Their offense is fucked up and they cannot seem to get with their passing game. Their running is brilliant but Jason Taylor is too inconsistent. Nonetheless, i take them to win this game. I'm 4-0 on weekday games and would love to keep my streak alive so Washington, do not screw up.
Okay, our record this year has gone: loss, win, loss, win, loss win, loss win, loss, win, loss, win...yada, yada, yada. So if that's any indication, we're supposed to win this one cause we lost the last one. Therefore i'm picking my terribly inconsistent Bears team tonight lol.
