New Kobe Bryant Rape Case Movie on DVD

There is a new movie coming out on DVD about the Kobe Bryant rape scandal with him and the white girl in Colorado. Go to www.kobebryantmovie.com and then click on view the trailer above. The sneak preview trailer is very short and the lighting is bad but it looks interesting. It has I guess actors playing the roles of Kobe, Kate Faber (the accuser), and others. There also seems to be some white guy telling her to go up to his room and do what he asks, then claim rape once she leaves, so maybe they think Kobe was set up. I doubt that is what happened. I think a groupie fucked Bryant and then cried rape afterwards with the intentions of extorting him for money.

I wish they could put this thing on TV or ESPN or something so we could all see it for free. I think this is a very important story for all to see, young men AND women. What he went through is something not only athletes can learn from, but all young people can learn from. Young girls need to think before throwing themselves at guys, especially married ones. And guys need to be careful when messing around. Black guys also need to check the mental background and dating history of many white girls they fuck with. She decides to play games and cry rape, there's nothing you can do.



Being charged with raping a WHITE girl is one of the WORST accusations that can go against a black male in this country. So many people assumed his guilt and I know because I am a die hard Kobe fan and Laker fan and followed the case and all of the facts very very carefully (I am sure die hard Michael Jordan fans would have too if he had gotten into a similar situation). I found out sooo much about law and civil trials versus criminal trials while following this case it is NUTS! I got into plenty of arguments with people in Kobe chat rooms and forums about the rape case about if he was guilty or not and let me tell ya, there were SOOO MANY white people, guys and even more women, who knew nothing about Kobe and assumed she was telling the truth without even knowing the facts of the case, simply because he was black and she was white and that "there's no way a girl would lie about that". Yea right...it has happened before.



This girl was a gold digging slut who had been rejected from American Idol months before she cried rape and had just been dumped by her boyfriend and admitted in the past (friends of hers said this in interviews) that she calls out for attention alot. This was a girl with a history of mental issues, prescription drug problems, and fame seeker. She also had 3 different guy's semen stains on her panties that were examined by the police (none of them were Kobe's). She also was proven to have had sex days after her encounter with Kobe. I do not know much about being raped, but I am guessing most girls who have been just raped don't turn around and have sex the next day with an ex-boyfriend "whose trying to comfort her" LOL.



She admitted that it started out consensual before thing got rough and she claims she asked him to stop, but he didn't, and that's where the rape occurred (supposedly, according to her...yea ok). You can't just start a guy's engine and then tell him to cut the motor seconds before he's about to explode all over you. She then claims he bent her over a chair and shoved it up her ass and then ejaculated in her face and told her to "wash her face and get the fuck out." Now the rape test the police gave her did reveal some vaginal bruising consistent with rough sex, but that does not prove rape. Now as we all know she did not go through with it and she just took some millions from Kobe in a civil court settlement to shut the fuck up and get lost.



Now Kobe has to live with the embarrassment, buy his wife $4 million dollar purple diamond rings, custom made Lamborghini's, rebuild his torn squeaky clean "next Jordan", face of the NBA image, and now this movie is coming out. He became a punchline for the media and many WHITE fans have still not forgiven him. Blacks have though. If anything, it gave him more "street cred" since he was falsely accused of a crime by a white person and the white system TRIED to set him up but he won and now blacks from the ghetto can relate to Kobe, someone who before was not very "thug" or hip hop because he grew up rich in Italy, speaks 3 languages, is classy, married to a non-black woman, and carries himself in a clean cut family man way (one of the reasons I love him and he's my favorite NBA player, not to mention the fact he's HANDS DOWN the best player BY FAR in the NBA!!!). He had no tattoos, now he does and he also has a criminal record, thus he is "cool" to black kids now.



But Whites felt let down by him since he was supposed to be role model, the next Jordan (even though Jordan cheated on his wife constantly and had a gambling problem, yea some role model). Kobe was supposed to be the face of the league, so clean cut and proper, he speaks well and was a family man, he didn't have all the tattoos and bling bling. He didn't get in trouble with the law or beat his wife like other "thug" NBA players. He was from Italy. He was "different" than the rest, but now the white fans are shocked and dismayed since their HERO Kobe was getting accused of RAPING a 19 year old white girl in a hotel in Colorado he had JUST MET that day (and he tries to tell us it was just consensual adultery). So now in their eyes, they say "well we were wrong about him, maybe he is just another nigger like the rest of them." When a black man says I did NOT and a white woman says HE DID, blacks tend to stick with the black guy and whites tend to stick with what the white girl said and take her side.


I swear, if this case had gone to trial (criminal trial, which is where it was headed before she chickened out and decided to take his $$$), it would have divided this nation racially in a very similar way to the OJ Simpson trial. A black man, a white woman, sex, a violent crime. Young, rich, good looking people, celebrity, it would have been a circus. To me, the main difference was in the OJ trial, his wife (and the white man she was cheating on him with) were both DEAD. A crime WAS committed, we knew that for certain, it was just a matter of WHO DID IT??? With the Kobe case, we did not even know for sure if a crime was EVEN COMMITTED!?! It was just he say/she say...her word against his. Thankfully it is all behind Kobe now and he can go on with his amazing NBA career, but I just wanted you all to know this movie is coming out. I do not plan on buying it but if any of you do or already own it, please feel free to come in here and tell us all how good/bad it is.

....By the way, some of us joked in the Kobe forums who would play these roles in a movie. Everyone agreed that Woody Harrelson would play the Eagle, Colorado D.A. LOL. Most people said Salma Hayek or Jessica Alba would play Kobe's wife Vanessa. Maybe someone like Scarlett Johansson could play the groupie, and who knows who could play Kobe...What do you all think?

 

Obviously if you knew anything about law (or anything about anything, in fact) you'd be aware that the crime of rape is, by definition, committed when non-consensual penetration occurs. However, "penetration" in English law (and doubtless in US law as well) is a continuing act, beginning at entry and continuing until withdrawal - not simply denoting the act of entry - which means that the actus reus of the offence can occur in cases where it is alleged that the woman consented to sex, but afterwards changed her mind, but the man did not withdraw on her command.

There is a shocking racial issue at the heart of this case, but another issue also arises which has been pertinent in the UK: this is that currently around 50,000 rapes are REPORTED every year (and probably more than that occur but are not reported by ashamed women); that marital rape was not illegal until the early 1990s; and that only 7% of rape trials result in a prosecution. So, although it is difficult without the benefit of intelligence, sometimes it's worth remembering that there might be more than one conceivable side to a story. Obviously this looks exactly like To Kill a Mockingbird, and probably it is, but on the other hand there is the court's concern to establish the truth, and the inevitable difficulty of doing this in the crime of rape - without eyewitnesses or vindication of the victim's story - which is why it is important that allegations supported by evidence be tried. And believe me, this case would never have reached the courtroom if there were no evidence for it; and there would be unbelievable humiliation for the girl at stake in such a publicised criminal trial, where, shockingly even sexual history and mental history evidence would have been admissible. I'm little surprised that she took the money and ran, but it doesn't prove that your hero was innocent, and since the trial never went ahead, we'll never know will we?

 

The last thing anyone in this country wants to do is get into one of these type of trials. Whenever there is a white woman and black man involved in a crime,it gets alot of coverage. And even if you're found not guilty people will still see you as guilty.Its really screwed up how people can deny their is alot of racism in the USA. Based on just how the media in this country covers these type of cases. I remember last year a local crime with a black man/white woman got national 24/7 coverage. And then another after that. While there were bigger crimes and Iraq news that was only mentioned. This country is pretty screwed up and too many people have blinds over their eyes.

 

Does anybody have a pic of the real woman involved in that case? Somebody has know who it was.

I have to say Pey really killed it off with his intelligent, to-the-point facts and not opinions. I could not find one line i disagreed with. But lemme add my own $0.02 to it.

White America speaks of the growing equality for all the residents of this country. However, the truth of the matter is this: the more melanin in your skin, the further from parity you are. Nearly five centuries of slavery, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the Civil Rights Movement have come and gone; Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X among other prominent Black freedom fighters battled against oppression for true liberation. Yet the road to such freedom is far from sight. The lynching, hate crimes, and beatings are still going strong. Racial injustice in the court system, social stereotypes, and racial profiling by police officers are a daily occurrence. Anyone who speaks of present-day “equal opportunity,� the “end� of racism and a sense of “unity� amongst culturally and racially diverse groups is living in a bubble, formed by denial and fabricated by the media. White America, in the hopes of shedding or covering up its racist skin, wants to preach this pseudo-equality when in fact Blacks in the “U.S. of A� are still suffering from a society constructed by racist, untrustworthy individuals. Not only are Blacks in the capitalist, assimilationist misnomer “United States� continually suffering from physical violence, but we also suffer from institutionalized racism, including judicial bias, policing brutality, media brainwashing and anti-Black stereotypes.

On February 14, 1965, Malcolm X addressed the people of Detroit at Ford Auditorium on the need to educate ourselves about politics and media. “Then you’ll be in a better position to make an intelligent judgment for yourself. So as Afro-Americans or Black people here in the Western Hemisphere, you and I have to learn to weigh things for ourselves. No matter what the man says, you better look into it yourself.� Men and women, Blacks and Whites alike, fail to realize that the mass media is a powerful entity with the ability to place both contaminated and valid images or information in our minds. This influential medium provides us with information that they deem necessary. They provide us with mis-information that will brainwash us into conforming to their beliefs and views.

And they projected Africa and the people of Africa in a negative image, a hateful image. They made us think that Africa was a land of jungles, a land of animals, a land of cannibals and savages. It was a hateful image…. Why? Because those who oppress know that you can’t make a person hate the root without making them hate the tree. You can’t hate your origin and not end up hating yourself. And since we all originated in Africa, you can’t make us hate Africa without making us hate ourselves. And they did this very skillfully (Malcolm X, 156-157).
These media have been feeding their image to the public for so long that they have truly mastered this skill. The sad part is that not only does the White public embrace these images, as if they were written in stone, but Black communities do as well. These images portray Blacks as pathologically poor “criminals,� “gang-bangers,� and “druggies.�

The coverage leading to the conviction of Michael Lewis, a.k.a “Little B� in Elaine Brown’s The Condemnation of Little B (2002), is a perfect example of the effect of mass media on the public. Following Little B’s arrest for the 1997 murder of a Black father of two, headlines were plastered all over Atlanta condemning this 13-year-old boy. The Black and White communities of Atlanta convicted him of the murder long before his trial. The local Black “leaders� in the community did not think to protect this boy who was supposed to be “innocent until proven guilty.� These same “leaders� demanded fair treatment for O.J. Simpson when the media stereotyped him with a racist image, the Black man as “beast.� Instead of protecting Michael Lewis when he was being portrayed as a “thug� and “delinquent,� they chose to jump on the bandwagon and see him as the figurehead of all Atlanta’s problems. A literal scapegoat in an effort to build up the city’s image and economy, Little B was used to enforce the new tough-on-crime-laws. He had multiple strikes against him. He was young, Black and “from the streets.� No one stopped to think that he was a product of a disadvantaged, drug-infested community. No one stopped to think of his welfare when he became a ward of the state at age eleven and dropped out of school. Where was the judicial system to place him in a home and provide this child with the basic necessities to survive? Why were the courts so quick to knock at his door the minute they needed someone to blame? They were never interested in his well-being while he lived “life on the streets.�

Brown addresses the issue of media stereotypes along with more general topics of new age slavery in prisons and “U.S.� society at large. “Say, you think I’m really evil?� (Brown, 28). This one line from Little B was the basis for the entire book. When Black youth are suspected of committing crimes, they are portrayed as evil. When White boys are caught in the act, they are “possessed, misunderstood, alienated, isolated, or lonely--but never ‘evil̵’ (Brown 39). When “good kids� from a “good neighborhood,� a “good church going community,� or in other words, White kids from the suburbs, do something as monstrous as mass murdering their fellow classmates, White America asks, “What’s happening to our children?� (Brown, 38).

What went wrong is that we allowed ourselves to be lulled into a false sense of security by media representations of crime and violence that portray them both as the province of those who are anything but white like us. We ignore the warning signs, because in our minds the warning signs don’t live in our neighborhood, but across town, in that place where we lock our car doors on the rare occasion we have to drive there. That false sense of security -- the result of racist and classist stereotypes -- then gets people killed. And still we act amazed (Wise 2002).
Due to media stereotypes, violence and evil have a face and that face has Black skin. White America and at times, such as in the case of Little B, Black communities also believe that this image is real; that these portrayals of their own youth, living in their community, are valid. What they fail to do is re-educate themselves, as Malcolm X implored.

The public continues to believe that Blacks are the ones using and dealing drugs. They believe that Blacks are more prone to violence and criminal activity. For decades, throughout the United States, Black males have been subject to racial/ethnic stereotypes. Merely being a young man of color on the streets and highways of this country makes you a suspect for “law enforcement.� Racial profiling has given rise to an extremely appropriate term, “Driving While Black� (DWB), considering that a mass of profiling victims is Black. It is illegal for an officer to pull over a vehicle without just cause. So when they have “reason for suspicion,� they simply stop the driver on the basis of a traffic violation, with the underlying purpose of searching the vehicle for narcotics. Racial profiling is largely due to the effects of the nationwide “war on drugs.� Police officials have been using race alone to determine whether or not an individual or groups of people might be engaged in criminal activity such as drug trafficking. A majority of the discrimination occurring is against young Black males because they fit this society’s description of supposed drug dealers. In fact, in 1985, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles issued guidelines for the police on “the Common Characteristics of Drug Couriers.� These guidelines warned officers to be suspicious of rental cars, “scrupulous obedience to traffic laws,� motorists wearing “lots of gold� or who do not “fit the vehicle� and “ethnic groups associated with the drug trade� (Harris, 7). These stereotypes are targeted directly toward Black males. If a Black man is behind the wheels of a decent vehicle, and is taking precaution on the road, he is considered suspect, criminal, guilty.

The United States “law enforcement� strategy for curtailing drug abuse has had a negative impact on Black people. Blacks are being incarcerated at a higher rate than Whites due to racial profiling. 62.7 percent of Blacks are imprisoned for drug offenses, whereas only 36.7 percent of Whites are (Human Rights Watch, 1). One would think that Blacks are the main source of the drug problem in the United States; and, in turn, that racial profiling is effective in ridding this country of criminals. On the contrary, racial profiling concentrates on Blacks; therefore, if Blacks are the only group being targeted then only Blacks are going to be found with drugs. This concept is not hard to grasp but “law enforcement� insistently focuses their efforts on stopping Black males. This leads to the myth that Blacks are the primary source of drug usage and trafficking, considering the high rate of incarceration. The stereotype has been proven in fact to just be a myth. In March of 1998, a group of doctors, Physician Leadership on National Drug Policy (PLNDP), composed of high-ranking health officials from the Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations, released a study on U.S. drug policy. The PLNDP study showed that 50% of heroin users are “educated� Caucasians and that 60% of monthly cocaine users are White. Furthermore, 77% of regular marijuana users are White, whereas only 1 in 6 are Black (Muharrar, 2). An “educated� White man from the suburbs does not fit the “Drug Courier Profile� and has thus been systematically ignored by police officials. Yet it is clear that the majority of drug users and traffickers are (not-so-young) White males.

Racial profiling is just another form of oppression for Blacks. This tactic used by White officers does nothing except abuse and further diminish our faith in the “justice� system. The laws by which we are governed (and which we abide) are, allegedly, the backbone of this country. If we cannot trust the individuals that create and “enforce� these regulations what kind of faith is left in these representatives? If you are Black, you are not safe from “the long arm of the law.� The media has placed a false image in the minds of the residents of this country with regard to Black male youth. Many Blacks have taken this image and condemned our own while racist Whites use this “evidence� to support their ignorant, racially prejudiced views of non-Whites. Malcolm X said it long ago; it is time that we start educating ourselves and second-guessing the newspaper and all news coverage. Until you know the facts, take the information the media puts out with a grain of salt. “Nothing is as it seems.�

But wait Cris aren't you a Republican - the party of the status quo. Are you registered? Don't the police unions consistently endorse the Republican candidate? Wasn't the WAR on drugs and the three strikes your out law - which have put record numbers young black men in behind bars - drafted by the Republicans? Wasn't it the Republican political strategist, Roger Ailes, who used Willie Horton - a black convict who while furloughed by Michael Dukakis raped a white woman - in a political ad to scare white people to vote for George HW Bush. I just don't get the rhetoric above. Its seems counter to - if not the stated - the implied principles of the Republican Party. It sounds more like the rhetoric of the Black Panther Party.

 

Even if he is a republican, that doesn't really mean anything, especially when there are white supremacists who are democrats, like Tom Metzger.

And, Black Panther Party? Ha, well, at least they acknowledge the stigmas of being a young black man in this country, irregardless to the hidden agendas mixed underneath it all, and no credit was given to any of our so-called 'leaders' you see on 24 hour news networks babbling on about practically nothing, like the 'plight of poor blacks' over and over again.

Republicans want to keep all the resources in the hands of the people who already have them and they have always been allied with Southern whites who historically implemented a white supremacist social order and Northern Ethnic Catholic whites who had to compete with blacks for jobs, both of whom want to keep resources out of the hands of blacks. Blacks make up a large voting block in the Democratic Party and have some say. Unfortunately most of our great leaders have been killed, exiled, or incarcerated.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing but positive opinions of the BPP. I'm just wondering if Cris' sermon would be accepted at the local Republican precinct meeting.
