    Grüß Gott!
I have been intermittently lurking here for the better part of a year and I'm now ready to become a productive member of the community. Just thought that I should say hey.

Herzlichen Dank! Mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut. I understand much better than i speak. I learned so much more in the 10 weeks I just spent in München than I did in 2 years of German I had in high school.

Not too bad, just trying to readjust to life in Alabama after spending 4 months in Europe. How about yourself?

Ja, ich bin in Schwabing geblieben. The Bavarian dialect was much more complex than what was usual and customary. My cousin plays professional basketball there and most of his teammates (who i mostly hung out with) are from the northern part of the country so I didn't quite pick up on the local tongue as I rarely had direct interaction.

Did you say something about your ass or am I completely misunderstanding you?

oooh wee - Alabama is a whole other world. I'm orginally from KY but my grandmother was born in Limestone county. I feel for you with that transition. Once again, welcome :D

Haha, you said it! My family owns a cattle farm in Elkmont, which is on the edge of Limestone County and I was raised about 30min east. Thanks.

small world, my grandmother's family name is Dungy & I know quite a few still live around there (really into genealogy) though I don't personally know any of my distance relations ... :smt039
