Well guys, the draft is a few hours away and i'm terribly excited that it's finally here. Whippee!! This should be fun. :smt003 I think this will be one of the better drafts in years. And guys, i know that Oden will probably be taken number 1 overall, but i have the strangest feeling in the pit of my stomach that Kevin Durant is gonna turn into a player amongst the likes of a Michael Jeffrey Jordan. of course there will never be another Michael Jordan, but when i see this scronny kid who is as competitive, and talented, and humble as can be, i can't help but to start thinking of the infinite possibilities. i think he has all the tools to be a true Superstar for years. people think Dirk revolutionized the forward position, but i think Durant is gonna be able to do whatever Dirk does, and some. Portland will be competitive for years with Oden, but Durant IMO, will be very special. Seattle is the luckiest team in the league by far lol. and i'm really intrigued by Yi. i think he's gonna be a stud player as well. heck, i think all of these guys are gonna be stud players. the only guy who i think might be a potential first round bust is Spencer Hawes. i don't know much about him, but if history is any indication, tall white guys who play center don't turn out very well lol. Let's just see how everything unfolds. :wink:
The Sonics may be the luckiest team in the world for being able to land Durant, but they have GOT to be the DUMBEST team in the world for trading Ray Allen for Jeff Green and Wally Z. Wow is all i can say. Allen + Durant would have been awesome. They screwed themselves bad with this. And the Celtics fans are even more dumb lol. They think they're getting ripped off by the Sonics. Ray Allen is a STUD. The guy is awesome. Always has been one of my favorite players. I wasn't sure about the trade at first because i didn't know how they would utilize him and Pierce at the same time, but when i think about Pierce being on one side of the floor, and Allen on the other side of the floor, wow, that's really scary. Not to mention the big guy Jefferson in the middle. If they make another trade for a big man like say, Rasheed or Gasol, this could really be something.
