Fair enough. This is a very physical series, and both teams are playing hard. I just wish the Lakers don't resort to these kind of tactics. It's not necessary. Just play hard, play tough, but play clean. Kobe should know better.

well let's see how many $25,000 fines the NBA hands out today...they have to after what they did to kmart in game 1 between the nuggets/mavericks...what kenyon did was romper room play compared to last night's squabbles...

Yeah, I can't deny visual eveidence like that. Kobe did wonrg right there. But I won't call him a dirty player in general, because a lot of players have done that in the heat of the moment. I wouldn't call Artest dirty, even after his royal rumble a few years ago. I love physical games, one of my top reasons for being a Lakers fan, but it's embarrassing when anybody in the game gets like this.

If Artest really took an elbow to the throat, he would've hit the floor with both hands clutching his neck. He took a shot to the chest because that's exactly what he wanted. Don't bring that shit on the court unless you're willing to take it as well.

Not that it matters much but Ron Artest did the elbow jab first.

    Kobe just responded to it.

Its almost a guarantee that Ron Artest will be getting another technical before this series ends.

Well, the NBA took a look at the play, and issued Kobe a flagrant foul for it. Fish got suspended for a game as well.

So I guess the Cavs are going to sweep the Hawks as well.

Its going to take a series againt the Celtics to break their winning streak.

I'm happy we won last night, but we still got work to do. We got game 3 Saturday. I hope we can pull it out

    I'm pretty sure they will.

They don't seem to have any problems w/ the matchups.

Intense series. REAL physical. Luke almost got into it again, I noticed. The flagrant call was a little excessive. It was hard, but not flagrant status.

But it wouldn't help Houston in the end anyway.

It is interesting to see all this brawling in the West. They need the practice to be ready for the finals, where it will really get physical.

I agree, completely unwarranted. The front office likely wants to tone down the physicality of the series and put the refs on notice.
