4 out of 5 stars read. 4 out of 5 stars read. 4 out of 5 stars read. Starts out kind of slow due to giving extensive details of how a small town British police force handles a search for two missing girls, but picks up once the story's protagonist starts picking up on some "unusual" details surrounding their disappearance.
Do kids books count? Haha. Just kidding. Just recently read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. I had heard of it before, and heard good things. I found it to be an excellent read, and couldn't put it down. Highly recommended. I'm currently reading "The book of secrets" by Deepak Chopra. I find it equally as fascinating as The Alchemist. About halfway done, but am taking my time because I don't have a next book picked out when I finish. Lol. I can't remember what I read before these two, but I imagine it was a Luanne Rice novel. I'm a sucker for her books. Usually take place in the New England region: Connecticut, Massachusetts, and a few other places I've never been, but have always wanted. She does a great job of painting a picture with her words.
Not the last three (more) I've just churned through this entire series "The Undead" by RR Haywood all the way too "Day Nineteen" and including stand alone novels but same time frame "Blood on the Floor" and "Blood at the Premier" The UK version of TWD (Mainly West Sussex and Portsmouth) not as many guns about so at the start you have people throwing microwaves and holding up in a Tesco Extra store. Easy read, entertaining and not shite like a lot of self published stuff and all available on kindle unlimited.
Yeah!! I'm thankful it became popular enough to be translated to English! Along with 55 other languages. Haha. Have you read it? I'll probably check out some more work of his.
It seems like forever since I posted in here, and I've read a lot of books since then. What I've read the last couple of weeks: A dark fantasy version of the story of Peter Pan... Sequel to The Shining... I enjoyed them all.
Cool. I knew there was one but haven't been able to find it at any of the bookstores around my way. May have to get it online.
I hadn't seen it anywhere either, so I ordered mine online. I also ordered The World of Ice & Fire (The untold history of Westeros and The Game of Thrones). I haven't read it yet, but I have looked through the illustrations. My son thought I was weird for saying so, but it's a beautifully put together book. I'm glad I ordered it (or as my son put it, "wasted a gift card on it", lol).
