yeah. I see what you are saying. I was doing heavy weights and low sets. It seems I would progress faster under your system. Im progressing (I have been working out since week 8) but some. not much. I feel better tho.

Well, like anything, you get out what you put into it. You should try to work out 3 - 4 days a week, consistently. Good luck to you.

By the way, those shoulder exercises that you mentioned are called lateral raises, side lateral raises and front lateral raises. I would also drop the upright rows and do overhead dumbbell presses instead. They are a more direct shoulder exercise. I do the upright rows as more of a trap exercise.

Precisely, number one in my book. You can work against all the good things you do in the gym with poor nutrition.

roll back the clock to high school football for that gem

when i was a wee freshmen lifting weights in the off-season with the team, i had an upperclassman tell me that just because a guy was big, didn't mean he was strong pound for pound. I was new to weight lifting then, and always thought that the bigger the guy was, the more strength he had in comparison to smaller ones.

in many sports, guys would rather develop strength and power, without adding bulk and size. that's my situation with jiu-jitsu now. When I see myself bulking too much, i actually get worried :smt095

when bench pressing should you let the bar hit your chest or let your elbow be in line with your shoulders and then go back up ? I heard both
