My Favorite Country in Africa is......... What's yours?

I've only ever been to Zimbabwe.
I'd love to visit Ghana, and the Republic of Mauritius (I know it's a bitty to the southeast of Africa), but my stunning first boyfriend was from there. *sigh*..

This country been on the news, and it has great deal of issues regarding its political situation. Despite the government and politics the people are very friendly to outsiders, which is a stock to most people that been there, and the country is rich in culture, and historical monuments. Lets avoid the politic, and criticism. It is not the people, its the groups or individuals that control the current government. I will show the people that live in both now separate countries,.

Are you saying that for a fact or conjecturing like most people do from watching discovery channel.

 

It is factural and there is no documentary on the Discovery channel that I had know of has anything on Africa or individual countries.

The obelisk of Axum!

I have a cross made from the same type of stone from Axum. It was given to me by a college friend from Asmara. Love that cross!

 

And I thought that clean water ended with Apartheid.

 

Wow, that is really cool. I have not been to Axum, because i did not have the time, but next time i go to Ethiopia, i must pay that place a visit. It is cool that you got a cross that is made from the material there.

 

Interesting, why are those countries the most interesting to you, if you don't mind me asking?

I so badly want to go there and see that thing. Its beyond amazing. Its very cool to have a cross that is made of the same stone (supposedly from the same area the stone to the obelisk is from). Its invaluable to me. Funny enough, that friend now lives in St. Louis! Found her a few years back on FB, small world.

 

Ghana, the love of my life is from there!
