Tomorrow night (July 19th), CNN will air a special called "Black In America." It will cover a number of relevant topics that concern the black community and will have guests ranging from Ed Gordon to (my dog) Cornel West. Im hoping this isnt some fluff piece and that it deals with more than just rap music and Obama for president. Im hoping it sheds some light on real issues and concerns (and "black people" in general) for america, and the world in general. For the men and women of this forum: "What are some of the topics you would like to see CNN cover?"
I too am looking forward to this program, been seeing the commercials for it every five minutes. I would like to see them highlight some of the successes we have had as a people, not just all gloom and doom which is what many of these specials tend to focus on. A great topic I would love to see them address would be finances and creating legacy wealth to create a better tomorrow.
Sounds interesting. I got CNN at home but its the International Edition which can at times be a little bland. I doubt the series will be aired here coz I havent even seen the ads. In as much I'd like to see it, looks to me I'll have to come here for some insight. Thats if I wont be watching something else that will grip my viewing next week or this weekend.
Yep I'll be looking forward too it. Soladad O'Brien was interviewed on "Make It Plain" with Mark Thompson (some may remember him from XM Radio). As I understand it CNN gave her fully control over this project and while CNN isn't as bad at FOX News, I would cut them some slack until I get to see this.
If you ask NICELY I'll be recording it (Media Center PC for the win!) and I can put it into a format your PC can read.
