Thanks a_me(Amy! I JUST got that) and live life. I have a pretty eclectic taste and think that every genre has something to offer. I listen to pretty much everything, classical, rock, hip hop, electronica...I can't really listen to a single genre for too long or it just gets boring. I guess that explains my diverse taste. My collection is huge and growing. 500 something albums and I've listened to every album at least once. It wasn't until the last few years that I got this serious about music.
Mainly hip-hop. Old school hip-hop, 1979-1999, with the execption of a fewnew albums. My tastes in hip-hop go fromEazy-E, NWA to Grandmaster F;lash and the Furious Five, Nas Public Enemy, Brotha Lynch, Big L, 11/5 Immortal Technique, Kool Mo Dee Geto Boys, Bone Thugs, IMP, Rakim Slick Rick, Paris and a lot more. I live hip-hop. I'm not gonna say rap and hip-hop, because.......well like KRS-One said, "rapping is something you do. Hip-hop is something you live". I also like oldies. Shit like Funk and Soul and all the other old music my parents grew up on. And New Jack Swing. And those slow love r&b songs or whatever from the 90s like Boyz 2 Men n' R Kelly n' shit.
I'm pretty much into hard, heavy music. Groups like Pantera, Alice in Chains, Tool, Down, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Ozzy. I also love anything Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantomas, Peeping Tom), Nirvana, Sevendust, Shadows Fall, System of a Down, Disturbed, Meshuggah, among other things
I listen to everything. And when I say everything, I mean that. I've got thousands of songs on my computer from so many different genres it's crazy. My favorites are hip-hop, rnb, classical, acoustic rock, classic rock, industrial, and experimental. Ok, so that's a lot of favorites. I just love music! I'll listen to anything if it sounds good. I've got a lot of folk music, too, from allll around the world. I don't know why, but I love local folk music from different places. I've got belly dancing music, too, because I like to belly dance. Fuck, I've got everything from electronica to hardcore to goth to country to bluegrass. Some artists on my computer - Lil Weezy (shut up. I like him!), J. Holiday, Teddy Pendergrass, Tyrese, Assemblage 23, Switchblade Symphony, Sevendust, Phil Collins, Genesis, 30 Seconds to Mars, Wyclef, The Fugees, 8ball and MJG, AFI, Alison Krauss, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Blue October, Black Label Society, Boyz to Men, Chevelle, Ciara, Cold, Collective Soul, George Benson, Kenny G, Cradle of Filth, Daft Punk, A Perfect Circle, David Bowie (DAVIDBOWIE!!!!!), Saul Williams, Tori Amos, Del Amitri, DJ Shadow, Mos Def, The Dream, Enya, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, DeBussy, Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, Gorillaz, Jay-Z, Johnny Cash, Keyshia Cole, kidneythieves, Lacuna Coil, Rammstein, Led Zeppelin, Ludacris, Manson, Nightwish, Bella Morte, Nine Inch Nails (concert Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), Nonpoint, Oasis, Omarion, Obie Trice, Orgy, Massive Attack, Tears for Fears, My Brightest Diamond...
