I listen to just about everything but country. My favorite 3 bands are: Megadeth, Green Day and Maroon 5. If I'm in a bad mood or depressed about something, any Megadeth CD goes into my player until my mood improves.

However, I find myself listening mostly to dance music nowadays, mainly because I'm a fairly happy person right now. I have some guilty pleasure songs that I could listen to repeatedly (and usually do). :D

Great tastes in music. Most WW you encounter on the Internet's tastes begin and end with the top 10 BET hits and the complete 2Pac back catalogue.

Usually ww into country, rock, heavy metal, etc. don't interracially date.
They be more into the Tim Mcgraw, Tommy Lee type. I remember when I was on a interracial dating site one time and saw this one girl on their that was into punk rock music. And it is vice versa with brothas into those types of music, they usually only interracially date.
Most people you meet usually date on their music preferences, so it's nice to things opening up.

And I really dig nineties R&B. I go to this free radio station http://www.pandora.com/, enter an artist's name let's say Toni Braxton, and it just plays all these songs similar to hers. I be jamming for hours.

I've enjoyed music from pretty much all genres I've heard. However, I find myself listening to mostly instrumental music these days. Classical, fusion, jazz, new age, rock, Argentinian tango, Indian raga, other forms of world music and music I can't classify are all on the menu.

The CD that receives the most play is "Full Circle" by a group called the Dixie Dregs. The other CDs in rotation are "Shakti" by the group of the same name, Al Di Meola's "The Grande Passion", a collaborative cd titled "Rhythmstick" and Cirque Du Soleil's "Alegra".

you are very right about the BET hits. although i do watch BET from time to time...it gets so old, that i usually avoid it at all costs...unless i can catch somebody funny on comicview.

    <---breakin' stereotypes, lol!

but, yes, kenny, i would have to agree with you. i'm a huge country music fan, (i've even sucked my husband into it a little bit, haha) but i'm not a huge fan of some of the listener's of country music. aka, rednecks!

I too listen to everything. I love jazz but only the old standards, Ella, Billie, Dinah etc. I love Kanye. I love , love, love Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and all the old Motown. throw in a bit of Martina McBride the Dixie Chicks with a bit of disco and there you have it.
I have a new favourite singer named Lizz Wright. She is kind of soul/jazz and she blows my mind. I just saw her at the Montreal Jazz fest and I was actually crying! She is young but there is an old tortured soul in there somewhere. Just flawless.
