A few weeks ago, I watched a movie called Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and I enjoyed it so much, I watched it again and appreciated every moment of it. During the movie, one of the villains, Owlman, who exhibited nihilistic tendencies, discovered that there are parallel earths much like ours. As explained, the decisions we make causes a ripple effect, creating a different yet simultaneous earth, albeit with a different outcome from ours. For example, in this universe, I’m a registered user of WhiteWomenBlackMen.com, while in another universe I’m not. Another example would be my social decisions. Had I not interacted with the people I’ve come across, what are the possibilities of one of me becoming a cold killer? Or another being a successful businessman or prominent leader of the free world? Or simply a television personality that comes on public broadcasting? The outcomes would drastically change by one simple thing. So, I ask you: With the possibility of other existences aside from this one, how do you perceive your other forms of you? In other words, what do you think could happen if you never made the decisions you’ve made, both good and bad?
I'm sure everyone here could write a book on the various paths their lives could have gone if they had made different choices at various junctures in their life.
I have read thats what dreams are. Yoir mind piercing the consciousness veil into the minds of various yous.
It could be dreams...or maybe we may see them as dreams but these are actually alternate realities that you've subconsciously venture into. Sort of interesting, as I've had those experiences myself.
Too bad theres no way of knowing yet. Maybe its where religions draw their notions of heaven and hell
Physicist Michio Kaku on Sci-Fi Science show on The Science Channel, stated that the existance of multiple or alternate universes is possible. In one universe, I am employed. In another, I am married. In another, I am not in support of ir(scary thought). The list goes on and on.
This link here pretty much provides some basis towards this educated guess and it could be more plausible than ever: http://scienceblogs.com/startswithabang/2011/10/28/why-we-think-theres-a-multiver/ And I suppose you do have a point there too.
