Chisme on the street has down and out Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, hooking up with pseudo-celeb Bethenny Frankel of “The Real Housewives of New York City.”
The pair were reportedly spotted dining out together in Miami Friday night, but it looks like things remained PG, as A-Rod was spotted dropping off his lady at her hotel around 12:30 a.m.
Maybe he had another date with his hooker of choice? Or maybe he was just tired for steroid withdrawal.
Who knows what will materialize out of this pre-lationship, but here’s hoping its interesting!

Absolutely. A bunch of hypocrites who don't mind finding every picture of lightskinned black women and then labeling those ladies as "black". But then they take issue when they come across a male with similiar racial and physical characteristics. For the record ARod shock the hell out of me a few years back when in an SI isue he used the word "black" to describe himself at one point. It started some serious discussions on message boards as a result of ignorant peoplethinking that all of those Spanish speaking darkskinned people must have gotten their color from being out in the sun too long. I was surprised ARod called himself black (I think he said that was one reason why he gets some negative publicity) because typically Dominicans are the most likely Latinos to deny it (despite the fact that the same slaves sent to neighboring Haiti were also shipped to the Dominican Republic).

Lets understand one thing: there is no such things as a Hispanic race. This is pointed out by people who study Hispanic culture. Different races and racially mixed people can fit under the Hispanic umbrella. But for some reason a Spanish surname will cause even black people to discount one of their own. If a black person has a German name and is very light skinned because that person had a parent who was German, it wouldn't matter to the vast majority of African Americans. They would still see that person as black. The same can be said if the person was half Chinese, with a Chisnese surname, half Indian with a Indian surname, etc. As long as the other half was black black folks would be claiiming that individual. But for some reason that idea is thrown out the window when a Spanish surname is thrown in the mix? Makes no sense; its not consistent.

ARod is probably more black than Mariah Carey and that twit has been categorized on this site as a black woman numerous times.

 

NOBODY looks at A-rod as being even remotely Black.

Tru dat pettyoj. A lot of it is cultural too because DJ, Vin, & the Rock have some black in them & their images are cool with black folks as well making them more acceptable. And hell with all the off field trouble with women & 'roids along with the hatred A Rod gets from white folks in the media as an athelete, it makes him seem more & more like a reg bro every day.
