They had just married but the woman was having second thoughts; and during an argument at the Glacier National park in Montana, he grabbed her arm but she shoved him off a cliff to his death, court documents say. Federal prosecutors have given their version of what happened to Cody Lee Johnson, 25, two months after his body was found in an area so steep and rugged that a helicopter had to be used to recover his body. On Monday, Jordan Linn Graham, 22, appeared in federal court on a second-degree murder charge over the 7 July death. Her lawyer, Andrew Nelson, declined to comment. Johnson's family and friends had called for an investigation since the body was recovered 12 July. On the night Johnson died, Graham told a friend that she meant to talk to Johnson about "having second thoughts about having been married," according to an FBI affidavit filed with the criminal complaint. She originally told investigators that Johnson sent her a text on the night of his death, saying he was going for a drive with a friend from out of town. Five days later, Graham admitted to authorities in a second interview that she had lied, according to the affidavit.
I don't know. Second thoughts and even cold feet are not reason enough to push a spouse off a cliff. But, this is tragic and it needs to be investigated.
i just saw an update on the news this morning...she is on house arrest right now...i don't think this was an accident...i also don't think it was premeditated...what I can't figure out is how could she live with herself knowing that she just caused the death of her new husband...i can't imagine what his family is going through and what all the people that attended the wedding are thinking:smt009
