MODERATORS

FataMorgana has been added as a moderator and will be helping out with the site administration.

 

It's primarily to help me out on this site and others. There have been moderators in the past. The most prominent moderator used the screen name "Spade" a few years back.

The only change you should notice is that a lot of the outdated topics, glaringly visible porn, and spam, will probably get cleaned up over time, and you'll get responses to questions much sooner. Most issues will still be handled through the "!" option.

This site has always been moderated, whether by me or by someone else. But my philosophy on moderating is different than it is on most sites.

I think the best moderators are the ones who do not give members the feeling that someone is constantly looking over their shoulders. They know the difference between an argument and a personal attack. They don't defend cliques or take sides against members most people do not like. And they can tell whether someone is just having a bad day, or has an agenda.

FataMorgana has done contract work for DreamMark (the company that owns this site), and has occassionally moderated this forum in the past, through the webmaster handle.

This site will also be undergoing a major overhaul in the next few months, so more hands are going to be on board. The forum will probably be the least affected.
