A lot of white people (not all) want to pretend that racism against IR couples or blacks in general is a thing of the past. I remember right after Obama's election during the whole prop 8 aftermath that was blamed on black folks, that gay is the new black. I bet had this been a gay couple it would've sparked outrage and been all over the media. Homophobia has hijacked any discussion about racism. Nobody wants to discuss race or racism at all, if you bring up a discussion about race, its likely you will be acussed of playing the race card or reverse racism.lol We have a black president in the white house, so how can America still be racist, seems to be the excuse or mantra rather.

Even discussions about racist opposition to Obama (some of the teabagger protest etc)is considered playing the race card. And you best believe the white nationalist community racist site etc are taking full advantage of the political climate. Fox news is also a contributer of the hate thats out there as well. For instance, when one of their news anchors joked about an Obama assasination and saying that their are too many mixed race marriages, (both incidents are on youtube) then later apologizing as if that makes it ok or takes away from their intent. Their intent is to spread the flames of racism, anywho I digress, I hope the killer is found and brought to justice.

 

Yeah, usually a racist will only expose themselves to a black person when they want to be known. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, they slip when speaking in front of me.

Also, I have a pretty good knack for knowing them even before they expose themselves. My work is literally full of the ones who organize and run around out in the woods with guns on the weekends.
