(CNN) -- The body of a missing 5-year-old girl has been found in ***********cc3300]North Carolina[/color], police said Monday. Theresa Chance, public information officer of the Fayetteville Police Department, confirmed the girl's body was discovered. A statement from Fayetteville Police Chief Tom Bergamine said positive identification was being sought for the recovered body. In a separate e-mail to CNN, Fayetteville police said the body found was that of the missing girl, Shaniya Davis. The search focused on land near a roadway because "reliable information received that the body of Shaniya Davis may have been dumped there," a police statement said. http://us.cnn.com/video/?/video/crime/2009/11/18/ng.brother.speaks.cnn This story pisses me off so much, I hate to hear about another child being found raped and murdered. The same thing just happened about a month ago, right here in my hometown. Children are under attack more than ever we need toughter laws for these pedophiles, they need mandatory life in prison or death IMO. I hope the mother gets life because she is just as guilty as the monsters who did this to that beautiful child.
I agree 100%. Pedophiles have demonstrated that the majority cannot be rehabilitated, and they have a high recidivism rate. The loss of this little girl's life is tragic, and more so IMO because the one person who should have protected her not only didn't, but contributed to her death. It makes me ill to know that there are parent's who treat their children with such callousness and indifference.
It´s so unbelievable cruel, we have many cases like this in Germany, too. To be honest, I am not very much interested in penalty of pedohiles.. only that they need to be removed out of civilization. But maybe we can use them to find out, why? It already happened, this girl was going through the biggest horror, one can imagine....and many other children will follow.. I am more interested in "How can we identify these people?" "How can we prevent?"
P,I live in North Carolina which was big news here. Her father was White and was grief stricken as he spoke about her at the service.
Yes, m8.. I saw the newsclips on CNN International..she was mixed-race, of course.. I grieve along with the bloke...as I would for any other parent that lost a child. I hope the assholes that did this reprehensible gig - yes, that includes that poor excuse for a "Mom" - get THE DEATH PENALTY! :smt070 NO ifs ands or buts.. Period. OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
This is a very sad story all the way around. Cute kid. Is it just me or did Shaniya look like Shirley Temple?
Yes, she does resemble Shirley, I had to take a second glance. I believe its the shape of the eyes that makes them resemble each other.
