I'm the one who said it's not a vacuum but apparently black on black crime on this forum is. Not.to.be.discussed.

    From the Milwaukee sentinel.

Sylville Smith, 23, was fatally shot after he refused to drop a gun, which was loaded with 23 rounds, police said.
Smith had been in trouble with the law dating back at least to 2011, according to arrest records released by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office late Sunday. He was arrested or ticketed nine times in that period — for the shooting, a robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, theft, possession of heroin and more. His most recent arrest was July 22 for possession of cocaine, records show.

If only we could just train him he would be a little angel lol

Yes they were. And they cleaned house in Ferguson to better reflect the racial make-up of the city.

I'm curious about Wisconsin. Wisconsin?? Wow. Clinton's three strikes Law really did a number on the BM there. Horrible.

Clinton the Democrat who only regretted it when his wife was the Official Democratic nominee (because it was in the bag). Took him what..22 years?

(He still defended it though to a heckler a few months ago..saying crime was bad then and it cleaned the streets of criminals, thus saving lives..of course the problem was it also snared the petty criminal into federal life sentences). Not sure if that trickle effect was forseen or not.

Every Republican in Congress signed that crime bill into law.
If the conservatives were ethically opposed to a three strikes law, it never would have been passed in both houses.

Don't act like the POTUS is a king who can act unilaterally whenever he signs a bill you don't like.

SO why the hell did Paniro start this thread anyway??

There's a mocking tone and an air of condescension whenever Paniro talks about race, which IMO reveals a contempt for Black folk and those who dare to point out that we still have problems in this country when it comes to poverty, race and the criminal justice system.

That's why I try to steer clear of this dude because he could give a damn about WHY shit happens, he only wants to score ideological points against those who bitch about the status quo.

About cops in Baltimore not wanting to do their jobs in drug saturated poor Black neighborhoods, this is why I don't give a fuck about cops.

Cops kill an unarmed, innocent Black man a year ago in the Charm City and catch national media hell over it, all the officers are charged with murder and put on trial and not ONE faces any punishment.

Yet these pussy ass, baby cops' feelings are so hurt, when there's real police work for them to do that doesn't require hassling random Black men, they decide to stop answering 911 calls.:smt017

    Just do your fucking job....correctly.
Being a law enforcement officer doesn't mean you get to make up the rules whenever you feel like it.

Baltimore like many cities in this country including Chicago is going to continue in a fucked up state unless jobs come back to those areas.

Probably because it's in the news on every channel?

As for your Republican redress, honey that was normal for them.
    For a Democrat President? Nope.
Would Obama have signed it? Doubt it. Who knows.
Again, with the Republicans, what you see us what you get. The Dems are snakes in the grass. Fatten their pockets and move it offshore just like their pals, the republicans...career limousine liberals and nothing less.

    So the father has spoken...

Smith's father, Patrick Smith, said he blames himself for his son's death.

'When they see the wrong role model, this is what you get.

'Being on the street, doing things of the street life: Entertaining, drug dealing and pimping and they’re looking at their dad like "he’s doing all these things".

'I got out of jail two months ago, but I’ve been going back and forth in jail and they see those things so I’d like to apologize to my kids because this is the role model they look up to.

'Now somebody got killed reaching for his wallet, but now they can say he got a gun on him and they reached for it. And that’s justifiable,' Patrick Smith told FOX 6.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Smith received the two charges following a shooting last year, but the details of that shooting were not immediately clear.

    The charges were later dismissed.

From jail Smith called his girlfriend and asked her to pressure a victim into recanting their previous statement, according to the Journal-Sentinel.
'When they get this letter, this (expletive) gone, then my case should be out of here,' Smith said in one call to his girlfriend.

Smith made several calls asking his girlfriend to stay on top of the victim. The victim later filed a statement recanting their previous identification of Smith as the perpetrator.

Despite the recorded phone calls prosecutors dropped the charges.

It is unclear why this decision was made.

Most of Smith's other charges were mostly for non-violent misdemeanors including speeding, retail theft and THC possession, the New York Daily News reported.

Smith's father Patrick Smith said: 'I don’t know when we’re gonna start moving. I’ve gotta start with my kids and we gotta change our ways, to be better role models.

'And we gotta change ourselves. We’ve gotta talk to them, put some sense into them.

'They targeting us, but we know about it so there’s no reason to keep saying it’s their fault.'

Haynes mother said her son had recently gotten his concealed carry license because he had been shot twice and robbed four times, the Journal-Sentinel reported.

During one robbery he was stripped of all of his clothing.

She said she doesn't think Smith pulled a gun on police but she does think he might have run from the officer and tried to hide.

Smith's godmother, Katherine Mahmoud, told the Journal Sentinel: 'I'm not going to say he was an angel. He was out here living his life.'

She said that the family had nothing to do with the overnight riots and they're 'not very happy about it'.

Agree with the father in all but the gun part. I'm pro gun

The white liberal will want to make sure statements like this don't get out. God forbid if some of the black communities problems are self inflicted

None of that would have happened if Brown didn't catch attention. I mean Holder had to go above and beyond to clean house. The governor had to institute more occupational opportunities. Despite Brown being wrong for his actions, he highlighted an issue that would never have been attempted to be resolve.

Educational and occupational opportunities are like bridges. It takes more than 5 mins to build and less than 5 mins to destroy and all who are on that bridge are doomed when it goes down. All the people who were affected by the systemic racism in that city will be feeling the pains for generations to come.

Discuss in what way Bliss. It's always a shut down device to passify the bullshit we have to endure from the system. Every single time anyone brings it up it's rarely ever out of genuine concern it's a way to say shut up black people. You kill each other so why should it be a big deal when anyone else does that. It's belittling and dehumanizing, it's a way to try and silence is. If you can't be perfect you don't deserve to live. Black on black crime is a fucking joke it's poverty fueled by a racist system. You start prosecuting and arresting these kids so they are never eligible for jobs when they're older or even the military. You destroy their education system and leave them with no opportunities at all and it's a fucking surprise they turn to crime? And then you want to hold innocent law abiding people responsible for their crimes telling them if you ordinary citizens can't police and control crimes yourself you don't deserve the protections and services you pay for with your tax dollars? Bliss are you fucking kidding me? Seriously why are you here?

There seems to be a hypersensitivity these days towards anything (positive or negative) involving both black men and women. I would say that since Obama has gotten in, the whole eight years has felt consistently like Black History Month. Most people believe now that having a two-termed Black president has had a negative impact on Black people, race relations and the condition of our society in general. Despite the issues we have, at least it feels like we fit into mainstream society and we don't feel a sense of exclusion. If we were all Indian men we would just be ignored and irrelevant.

The police need to take your advice also. Because they aren't squeaky clean either. There is a company reporting project which captures between 9 - 12 incidents of police misconduct on a daily basis. So we can assert that the police conduct nearly 4,000 violations against the public per year.

Yeah, they will silence him or page 5 relegate it. I had to get that statement from an international paper.

Now if you are pro 2nd amendment like me, then you should have no issue with these photos circulating

People really can not say a thing (but plenty are) because if his mom is correct, he had a licence to carry, unless it was a stolen gun, (which l has read it was).

Also, if he was running away even with a gun, not sure that can be justified if shot in the back. If the cam shows he aimed it, then this is a non case. Waiting to see it.
    Fair is Fair.

You're pro second amendment? So if a police officer shoots you personally, would you expect people to condone that if you were to go the hospital then actually survive and recover?
