Hi, im new to this site, and im mixed too, and also i am russian... I dont know wheather i should be here, but HI! Tell me whats the big deal in US about all this interracial dating? Is it that tough?
First, welcome to the site. I've only been a member for a month or two, but i got the hang of it quickly. In my opinion, you should be here if you're in an IR relationship, curious about IR or just interested in meeting and getting to know black guys. As for the "big deal" on interracial in the US, I can only tell you that some people are into it and some aren't. Usually the older generation (white, black or other) aren't because they grew up in an era of segregation or simply an area of the country where such a thing just wasn't permitted out in the open. But the newer, younger generation of people here are more open to it because many of us view other cultures as just other people with something different to offer. Now personally, I do think it's tough still to be in an IR relationship depending on where one lives in this country, but I'm not convinced it's supposed to be easy considering this country's ugly history. I know my explanations may seem vague, but there will be other unique replies to your topic shortly. But again, welcome to the forum. Kenneth
Hanna, there is no big deal with IR. Here in teh US we have a society mixed with all cultures of the world and people who love to appreciate the differences and love people of different colors are called INTERRACIAL meaning--the mixing of different races. In Russian where the race is mostly caucasian, there is a VERY BIG DEAL NOT to mix with other people. So the question for you is? What is the big deal with NOT liking Black MEN in Russia?
I am in USA right now as a student. Yeah i have noticed and, actually, im glad that there is so much diversity here, not like back home. I look a bit different then most russians, and actually always had that prob of outsider. But still have good friends and the best memories left there. Its tough for any other races even in Moscow (its my city), cause people didnt used to see much of them. Here i feel much more easy, cause no one cares (or at least pretend that do not care). Im in Michigan though, heard it can be unpleasant in other Southern states.
I was dating a US man there, and yeah, it wasnt absolutely safe for him, cause some people just look at you like  ! But Moscow is still much better than S Petersburg. Not even they are rasists, but just not used to see much diversity.
the southern cities are just like most northern cities. In the countryside, in the north and the south, its not always comfortable
