Very true but a white president would get way more of a pass than Barack is getting. Bush had eight years to destroy America but critics are only pointing at the last two years like 2000-2008 never happened.
lol at you talking about paying taxes and representation. Your income tax is a Caesars tribute, shut up and pay it!!!!
So don't pay your taxes like the millions of other Americans, just don't get wealthy or actually say it's in protest and you'll be fine.
I agree with the earlier poster who said he didn't expect much from the president. He's a nice enough guy, but he has always been a standard Clinton-esque centrist Democrat, even dating back to his days in the Illinois Statehouse. I think that people perhaps expected more because he's historically brought critical analysis to bear when problem-solving and, after 8 years of yucking it up and backslapping, it was a refreshing change. They were hoping for more than he was probably actually promising. He could have done much more during the first two years prior to losing control of the House of Representatives, but I fear that resurgent (yet unacknowledged) racism and frustration over the economic doldrums will prevent any real progress from being made, and will only strengthen the hand of the extreme right within the Republican Party.
I saw the interview and Matt is a very smart dude. the prez does come off (sometimes) as soft but you have to give to get. it is politics. also every prez gets blasted for everything that goes wrong and gets no credit or too much credit when things goes rite (depending on who you talk too)
