:cool:That's very interesting and very positive for mixed families.

Anyone else have any examples? Perhaps other sports?

We've already seen the beautiful 'Loki' family and their Equestrian skills:p

Very positive by any standard for a family, I think. Mom and Pop did a fantastic job raising those boys!

As I said in NCAA thread, the Griffin family is very humble and blessed.
Talk about atheltic genes, that is some serious B-ball genes.

The mother and father definitely had a strong role in those genes...considering that Blake (the son standing next to his father) is 6'10" or 6'11" tall..and his parents don't appear to be drastically shorter than he is

Definately great parenting and gene pool without a doubt. Blake will probably be the number#1 overall pick in the NBA draft this year and Taylor will make the NBA also.

They are flanked by Jeff Capel, coach of Oklahoma and former Duke player in the early 90's. His brother Jason played for UNC...
    Mixed couples are the future...

Sir Nose just FYI their last name is Griffin

You CANNOT be serious. Neither one of them have professional ability. They may do well overseas however.

Top 25 NBA Prospects for 2009

    #1 BLAKE GRIFFIN – OKLAHOMA
    Position: PF
    Size: 6-10 250
    Age: 20
    Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
    Season Numbers at Oklahoma:
    [22.5 PPG, 14.3 RPG, 1.3 BPG, .635 FG%]
    Draft Projection:
    Consensus No. 1 overall

Analysis: Griffin could’ve been a lottery pick last season, but he decided to return to school. Now, in the midst of a monster sophomore season, he’s likely to be named National Player of the Year and, if he chooses to leave for the NBA, will certainly be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. His combination of athleticism, toughness, work ethic and an NBA-ready body is reminiscent of Dwight Howard when he entered the league — but his game is probably closer to a super-athletic version of Carlos Boozer. He’s already solidified his position in the draft, so his tournament performance is irrelevant.

This is just an isolated case though.

Not all mixed couples will have fantastic genes as many are alluding here to but not explicitly saying. Besides, those kids look albino almost.

The Gasol twins from Spain are possibly two of the best players in the world and are twins. Both are 7 foot and athletic freaks and are stars in the NBA. Then you have the Klitschko brothers from Ukraine that were both former heavyweight title holders.

    Hu?

What does that have to do w/ anything?

Maybe because their mother is very fair skinned?

I just said this is a successful and high profile IR family, but it is not just because of the athleticism of the boys, nor am I suggesting that all IR kids are NCAA caliber athletes.

I don't see the relevance of your bit about the twins from Spain and the Ukraine

Some how I knew this thread would start off with my Griffin boys!

    haha

Taylor...I love him, such a nice guy.

Anyway, they have great genes, I've seen both of their parents at games, and they are both fairly tall.

I had to make my little interjection...afterall I am a Sooner!

Oh and Blake will eventually go into the NBA...Taylor, in my opinion, isn't at that level. However, the guy is super smart and I think he was planning on med school...dude helped me out in physics alot, haha.
