A Louisiana man decapitated his son, a disabled 7-year-old, and left the child's head by a street, for his mother to see. Jeremiah Lee Wright, 30, of Thibodeaux, confessed to the unthinkable crime and is being held in isolation. Police Chief Scott Silveri said Wright killed the boy after the mother, Jesslyn Lirette left on Sunday to have her truck repaired so she could take Jori to the doctor on Tuesday. Silveri also said that Wright had no explanation for the crime other than "he wanted her to feel stupid when she saw the head." Jori had cerebral palsy and heart problems, and he struggled with speech. He was in a wheelchair, completely defenseless, dependent on others for care and nurturing. He had apparently become a burden to his father, but to his mother, "He was my star. No matter what people think or say, he was always top priority in my life." Even the most "seasoned" police officers who responded to the call were shaken by the scene, reports Fox News, and how could any human being not be seriously affected by the scene? This man decapitated his son, bludgeoned, and dismembered him. "These are experienced men. They came out of there in tears. Just absolutely in tears," said Chief Silveri, and understandably so. This crime is unimaginable, and if there is such a thing as pure evil, this is it. No matter what trials in life this child presented, he was a 7-year-old boy, a mother's son, a second-grade student at South Thibodaux Elementary School, and was loved by many. His principal, Diane Smith said, "Everyone loved him. Even though he could not express in words his feelings to us, he did it with his smile." There aren't many smiles to be seen on the faces of Jori's family, schoolmates, and friends, but maybe the memorial of flowers, balloons, and stuffed animals where he died will bring a tiny smile to Jori's face. He was only a 7 year old lil boy, no matter what challenges he may have put on his father no one deserves this, no one. This story made me cry, simply awful..... So very sad.
It seems to be one of those days in the news. I just read a story about a Russian woman whose daughter was camping with stepfather. Stepfather was killed by a bear. The bear came back with its cubs, and the girl called mom on her cell phone. The bear and the cubs *ate* the teenager while mom had to listen on the phone. :-(
Awesome, I really don't understand why these stories are posted? In other news, the eurozone's inability to wrangle its debt problems and anemic domestic growth may spell a double-dip recession for the U.S.
I'm almost in tears reading that story. I can't even get through the whole thing, it's too horrifying. I despair that I share a world with people as repulsive as that creature.
Truly sad. Earlier we had the woman that abused her own 1 month old son and took pictures to send the father ' a message'. Now we have this monster that went even further...and then some. To hurt a child is the worst thing someone can do (not that dismembering an adult is acceptable). Of course he looked like any one else you would work with, live next door or say hello to in the grocery store, they always do...can't really determine someone's heart and mind by outward appearance. I wonder what kind of behavior and mentality that someone like this would exhibit prior to doing something so evil, to me this person would have to have a lifetime of severe anger, blaming others for his problems and exhibit various forms of abuse even towards loved ones and other innocent defenseless individuals.
Fucked up as it is, I THINK I know the guy. And if my suspicions are correct...he's always been the type to be unstable mentally.
