Man Caves and Lady Lairs

I was talking with the coworker I have a crush on today and we were both expressing our need to have alone time. It's important to both of us.

I thought I would start a thread and ask people what they have or hypothetically want to have in their man cave or lady lair.

I don't particularly care for the "Mom Cave" wording, so I'm using Lady Lair instead).

Were I to have space to set up my own Lady Lair these are some of the things I'd have/do in there:

Bookshelves with all of my books
A computer and desk and chair for writing
An indoor water fountain/fall
Stereo with surround sound speakers
A large HDTV
A large space in the middle where I can dance to my favorite dance music
A comfy couch where I can meditate.

Yes, this is a LARGE room. LOL.

Okay, so what would you do with your private space?

A big comfy two seater couch that I can curl up on
A lovely soft, thick faux fur blanket to keep me warm when it's cold
My computer so I can play my Sims games undisturbed.
A desk (and chair) so I can write and draw
A small fridge for refreshments and snacks
A stereo, but nothing too big or flash
A Wii fit
A basket for my dog (future dog anyway) and cats (which are in Kenya, sadly) to sleep in while they keep me company in my Lady Lair
Some beautiful David Boyd paintings on the walls
Lovely long shaggy carpet
A big window (with blackout curtains) to let in the air and light when I wanted it.

Oh and I'd want the walls sound proof.

HA, when I heard 'lady lair' my mind went somewhere completely different.

 

I would like mine to have an adjoining verandah, preferably with a hammock and pool access.. and only meters from the beach
