This finally hit me. Tell me if any of you already knew this.
There has not been a Mainstream white actress who has had an IR love scene with a bm---Ever.

and they are the only ones:

Denzel had Interracial kissing scenes (Malcom X, He got game.)
Halle Berry (monster's ball, rich man's wife, etc.)
Samuel L. Jackson (In my my country, Black snake moan)
Cuba Gooding j.r. (A murder of crows, Shadow Boxer, etc.)
Wesley Snipes (One night stand, U.S. Marshalls, etc.)
Laurence Fishburne (Othello, Bad Company, etc.)
Vivica A. Fox (Solomon, 1-800 missing)
Thandie Newton (MI:2, The truth about charlie, etc.)
Gabrielle Union (Neo Ned,Say Uncle, Running with scissors)

    Billy Bob Thornton (Monster's Ball)
    Ray Liotta (The Boiler room)
    Jude Law (Alfie)
    Bruce Willis (A perfect stranger)
    Pierce Brosnan (Die another day)
Steve Martin (the pink panther: has kissing scene with Beyonce)
Mike Myers (Austin Powers Gold Member)
    Hugh Jackman (Swordfish)
    Warren Beatty (Bulworth)
    Clive Owen (Rich man's wife)
    Tom Cruise (MI:2)
Stuart Townsend (Shade, Queen of the damned)

    Salma Hayek (Fled)
Eva Mendes (Training Day, Out of Time, Hitch, etc.)

    Julia Roberts ( )
    Charlize Theron ( )
Renee Zelwegger (Nurse Betty: it look like she kissed morgan freeman
in a dream sequence it was hard to tell)
    Nicole Kidman ( )
    Naomi Watts ( )
    Gwyneth Paltrow ( )
    Scarlett Johannsen ( )
    Angelina Jolie ( )
    Uma Thurman ( )
    ETC.

That says alot about the racism in hollywood and what and who it is geared towards....IR: Between black men, white women of the specifics of
    mainstream.

alot of truth there, your never gonna get any brotha like denzel or will smith hooking up with a famous white chick like scarlett johanson or julia roberts to do a scene like halle berry' in monsters ball. hell people like denzel washington and samuel jackson have had scenes taking out to avoid any backlash. even in "hitch" cameron diaz was changed from being will smiths love interest. things are starting to loosen up though, but the racism against black men is still strong.

Your right and ater thinking about it for a while the racism against IR with black men, white women in hollywood will continue as long as they let it.
As long as they sit back and watch and lose roles or be put in dudded romance movies with mainstream white actresses and buddy films it will
continue what black hollywood needs is a brotha with a mouth on him with
alot of black power up in him. Its days like this you wish kanye west was an actor.(LOL)

Perhaps if these women were interested in IR in real life it would be different. They probably do not view it as racist for not pairing WW/BM more often...but racist if blacks are barred from working in Hollywood all together.

Well Julia Stiles helped loosen things up a bit with Save the Last Dance and O with Sean Patrick Thomas and Mekhi Phifer in those films. Jessica Alba has done it with Paul walker and mekhi phifer in Into The Blue and Honey. But i still think white girls and black men kissing or having sex is still seen as controversial or only for teen flicks or indie films. Not mainstream.

Denzel has been pushing the issue for a long time but many of his films dont have him hooking up with his white female co-star. some do... examples:

For queen and country: denzel plays a west indian who hooks up with a british woman

Mississippi Masala: Denzel hooks up with Indian girl

pelican brief: he doesn't hook up with Julia Roberts.

the siege: he is an FBI agent who works with a white woman CIA agent (Annette Benning). They don't hook up (but they dance and have dinner and flirt).

he got game: He is a former prison inmate trying to convince his high school basketball star son to go to a certain college in order for him to get out of jail early. He tries to have sex with a white prostitute.

the inside man: his new film with Jodie foster. they are both detectives dealing with a hostage situation. I doubt they will hook up.

Malcolm x: he has sex with a white woman

out of time: he hooks up with Eva Mendes (i think). Eva is also his mistress in training day.

I think we ARE making progress. Tyrese with sophia vergara in four brothers..sean patrick thomas with that white girl (sorry dont know her name) in cruel intentions. Dennis Haysbert (TV's 24..that black guy in the Allstate commercials) and michelle pfeiffer in Love Field. Dennis Haysbert with Julianne Moore in Far From Heaven.

It's off topic but I've always wanted to meet Julia Stiles in real life. She seems from movies that she'd be a really intelligent and interesting person.

But to give it my tuppenceworth, I don't want to be offensive to anyone :( however I know genuinely that there are many women who wouldn't consider being with a black man sexually (many in my acquaintance) and who wouldn't want to be touched by him in any context, if that is the case I can't see why it would be any different in Hollywood. If there is no keenness by the actress herself, and if scriptwriters feel no pressure by society to portray interracial relationships, it's unlikely to end up on the big screen.

You raise a good point. I wonder why you've had these kinds of encounters, but still have an interest in black men.

Why should I desire the same men that my friends do? If they choose to ignore the most beautiful men in our society (IMO) in favour of ugly and scrawny white men, that's their own interest.

Yeah, they have horrible taste!

Seriously, I was only curious. A lot of women let their friends/family dictate what life decisions they should and shouldn't make, more so than men.

Not me, I'm a stubborn bitch :) Most people told me to break up with this guy in view of recent events, but I didn't and now even my father is coming round to the facts of it all. Allowing others to dictate your own decisions is a mark of low self-esteem.

But yeah, they do have horrible taste. I mean, Josh Hartnett or Will Smith? Bruce Willis or Wesley Snipes? Keanu Reeves or Denzel Washington? Russell Crowe or Djimon Hounsou? David Beckham or Thierry Henry? Every day western women are faced with these choices and they continually make them very badly, when the answers are patently obvious.

It is racism for sure when the studios and writers will only write for WM/BW love scenes; but totally ignore BM/WW love scenes-except in the case of a non star actress playing a prostitute or junkie. The BM/WW IR couple is the most prevalent IR couple and then the HW/WM and AW/WM. However, you will see the later 2 most often and while never seeing the first. It is a clear case of racism, as is casting minorities in teh most demeaning of roles.

yes, since it was the occupation of the Americas by the Spanish in the 13th century and raping of the indians that caused it, that now the offspring are now a new race of people--truly what could be called the original IR people
