Magzne pics shock w/ model vs plus-size model disparity

It's really nothing against you just an age old debate we have the forum where it seems women's body issues are off the table if it regards weight loss but making fun of thin women seems to be ok. One of my best friends really struggles with trying to gain weight and gets absolutely no sympathy for it but I do have to admit a slightly thinner frame(not Ethiopian skinny) is more attractive to me than an obese one. Ideally I like my women athletically bult like Hope Solo or Gina Carano

 

For some reason the pictures I tag here come back all messed up. That was way to large on the laptop and now it's so small you can't see it. That's probably all for the better..I was just being sarcastic anyway.

And I'm with you on that. I prefer women who have something you can hold onto as opposed to rail thin. There's a definite difference in the way women handle themselves based on whether they think having a negative size waist is somehow appealing vs those who just can't gain weight. I dance Tahitian and I've seen every type of body frame move and women who pack a bit more just look sexier than those who don't. The ones going for the wraith look can't move as well as those of us with wider hips and padding as well.

 

the purpose was to illustrate the difference in what one might consider a plus sized model versus a catwalk model, as I interpreted the discussion to be about. Certainly the model photo of the right handed one seems to be becoming what a significant number young women aspire to be (in my experiences).

I'm glad that some fashion designers ARE starting to realise that some models have died due to starving themselves to aquire this image and refuse to use the double zero size model. It's a start!

I believe that health should come first, but the young women I meet seem less concerned about that but rather about being thinner and thinner, as they believe this is what make them attractive.

I also witnessed this, when a friend was admitted to hospital, through anorexia.

It's about time that women of a normal weight were used more as models and not seen to be needing to lose weight.

 

I thought it was about how the clothes looked.
