Madonna has reportedly recruited former boxing champion Mike Tyson in her campaign to help the impoverished nation of Malawi, where she adopted her son David Banda from an orphanage in 2006. According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, the singer has approached Tyson to help spearhead her Raising Malawi charity effort after the pair met at the Cannes International Film Festival earlier this week. "Madonna thinks Mike is amazing and he has promised to fly with her to Malawi in late summer to promote awareness of children with AIDS there," said a source. "Mike is eager to show he's turned over a new leaf and thinks this is the perfect way to do it."

curious... I would think that Madonna would look at his 'violent' past, especially the r*pe conviction, as dealbreakers, especially since she sets herself up as such an icon/advocate for women's rights, etc....
