I'll tell you what, Loki, although we have different views, Im glad there are intelligent, strong brothas like you out there. (And lets not forget the others strong brothas who are also on this site.)

I must say, you know your stuff and certainly know how to keep a brotha on his toes. Thanks for the debate. Its been fun.

And who knows, maybe someone who's a great organizer can put something together and we (you, me, and all the other good people here) will get a chance to meet one day. Peace.

Jelly, I have very much enjoyed our conversation. I am glad to know that there are strong, intelligent brothers such as yourself out there as well. Much respect, and peace.

Well back on topic like it is suppose to, Lisa Lampanelli actually has lost
weight, and she looks good. She is an insult comic, it's sad that she always have to say that because we are getting too serious in this country now days. I actually think we need insult comics, becasuse taking shit serious all the time can lead to depression. For example every once in a while I have to make fun of the ghetto, even though it is a poverty that I lived in to get away from that got to make fun and laugh about it.

    Anybody want to co-sign?

Part of the problem with this argument...is determining what is "fat"..what is "curvy"...what is "thick"...and what is "normal/average."

Everyone's definition of acceptable is a personal choice...preferring "chunky" girls or thinner girls isn't right or wrong...it's simply a preference. Each type carries positives and negatives. I tend not to date a girl that is heavier than me (175 lbs)...but if she's taller than I am (which isn't saying much)...the dynamics change....of course that's how I feel on Tuesday. Tomorrow, I'm going to be drooling over a 190 lb chick with 38 FFF's....it changes everyday. I say to all the men...sample the goods...life's a buffet. Eventually you'll figure out which platter suits you best.

And Lisa should be applaud for being the only white female comedienne not afraid to ge there with the interracial. I seen a lot of so-called loose cannon white female comediennes and none of them went there, they did race jokes, but never there. Like Tracey Ullman, Susie Essman, Chelsie Handler,......

yes, the media is afraid of IR, the media and most white people are afraid to deal with the race issue, with saying how they feel about the gay issue--unless they are pro gay, talking about the stupid stereotypes adn getting out from other the legacy as a racism country.

even barrack obama is afraid to admit he is from IR relationship adn that he is Biracial and not black.

at least Tiger Woods isnt afraid

Barack Obama mentions that he is the product of a "white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya" every chance he gets.

He probably doesn't call himself bi-racial because no one sees him that way. The experiences he's had in his life have led him to identify a particular way and that's his choice.

The minute Jeremiah Wright popped up....all of the pundits saying that he "represents a post-racial America" and that he could be the first "bi-racial" president....dropped that and started talking about the difficulty a "black man might have in attracting white, working class voters"

Tiger's more Asian than black since his father his part Chinese....I've never understood why anyone would call him "black".....though he is darker than a lot of "black" people I've seen.

perhaps, but thats what he is. Some kids back in school used to say, "we dont see you as black, we see you as one of us" I understood that they didnt think of me as a stereotype of black people they saw on tv and such, but i had to correct them to make sure they knew, i was proud to be black and there was nothing wrong with being black and the stereotypes were just that.

we dont choose our race based on what people see, but on what we are. I have black parents and no matter what others wish to see or what i wish to be, I am Black as Barrack is Biracial

That is interesting, I can relate as I grew up and currently live in a majority white environment. I have heard similar comments countless times, "you are the whitest, black guy I have ever met", "you act, talk, ect. white not black". While I always understand what they are trying to say, I too always correct them and let them know that I AM a
Black man, thus everything I do, by definition is "acting Black",regardless of whether or not I fit "their" stereotypes of how a Black" man should act.

Exactly, Loki. I love books, studying, getting degrees, working, love country music, jazz music, blues, southern cooking and international cuisine, travel, hunting, golf, tennis, hockey, baseball AS A BLACK MAN, proud of my ancestry from Sierra Leone West Africa, my slave forebears for standing strong amid the worst kinds of tyranny and degradation, mixed black, french and scots irish, choctaw family background , but not afraid of being black.

I have no hatred for but no desire to be White.
