Old School: James Brown, Temptations, Smokey, Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Brother Ray Charles, The Four Tops, The Commodores and Earth, Wind, and Fire...Teddy Prendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Maze (pre-1985) and Freddy Jackson - I grew up with these sounds (I went to school with the original organ player for Frankie Beverly and Maze) Take all of that and add to it BB King, Buddy Guy, Buddy Miles, Albert King, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Anita Baker, Damito Jo, Billie Holiday, The Band, John Mayall, Charlie Musselwhite, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Herbie Mann, Mongo Santamaria and the Modern Jazz Quartet and this would make a great boxed set compilation for one kick-ass party.
