I have to physicall attracted to the woman and I don't sit and pull out my "weight-a-trait" scale to make sure that the balance tilt a tad bit one way or another.

She could have an AMAZING personality but if I am not physically attracted to her its a loss. I think it takes a little of both. Without a decent look I don't think you'll ever get close enough to know the personality. Unless it's a forced union like on the job, group getaway, ect.

 

Truth! That's where I admit to being a bit shallow. I get the thing where people may know each other, and not physically attracted, but could grow to that level. However, in a setting where you see someone and decide to approach... She could have the best personality, but if the physical doesn't catch my attention... We never get to finding out about the personality part. We had this discussion in regards to compatibility. My feeling then also was... Generally, they catch your eye, and you find out about the compatibility or lack after the initial attraction.

 

i definetly have to be attracted to that person in a way or it wouldnt work, but that alone isnt worth a dime if the personality sucks.

It's ridiculous to say it doesn't matter. We can twist it in all sorts of ways, but the bottom line is people need to be attracted in some way. That may not mean that they have to look like someone you would drool over to look at, maybe they don't meet "the look" that would typically turn your head, but there is something that attracts you physically.
