Little League World Series

For those of us that a baseball fans we are well aware of the fact that the number of black baseball players has been dwindling over the years but with that being said there are still places in the black community where the game is popular, important, and bringing the community together. Such is the case here the Jackie Robinson West All-Stars, hailing from the south side of Chicago this team has help unite a community and a city behind them. They are the first all black team to play in the little league world series in over a decade and Judging from today's game they are certainly have the offense to win the whole thing.


They are lead by Pierce Jones the son of two of Chicago's finest. Today in his LLWS debut all he did was go 4-4 with a triple and 3 homers. And helped his team destroy there opponent.

And their trophy and title have officially been stripped.

I feel badly for those kids.

 

This story sux. I heard it on NPR this afternoon. So it's a done deal, then? I don't think the geographical recruiting region issue takes anything away from their incredible accomplishment.

 

Yep, it's definitely a done deal.

I don't think it takes away their accomplishment, either. But some say that they wouldn't have accomplished it if they weren't stacking their team.

I guess no sport is immune from cheating scandals, huh?

 

What is wrong with stacking?

As far as I've heard, it's against Little League rules.

If it wasn't Little League, I don't think there would be this issue.
