What I was trying to say is that I'm sure that people who get all this wrong, don't do it for fun but because they feel it. But I also think that if when we try to talk about something like it really is, a plain, objective fact (EG: COLOR), somebody keep bringing up all the race and division and racism thing, there will always be a vicious circle.

A color is a color. BROWN, YELLOW, PURPLE, PINK. NOBODY INVENTED THEM. You guys have brown color on you. We have pink. Period. We aren't talking about RACE here.
I'm sorry if Malcolm X was mocked by black people because he was too "white-yellow" when he was little. I'm sorry if some brotha gets mocked because he is "too hella black".
That wasn't and isn't nobody here's fault.
So why do we always have to bring all this up?

I guess maybe I'm missing something here Flaming. I don't see this topic as divisive. Andrae asked WW if they prefered darker or lighter, which to me is no different than asking BM if they prefer pale or tanned WW. Now had he asked BM if they were comfortable with being light or dark, or if they saw a particular skin tone as more advantageous to them personally, then I could see that as divisive. I think the way the topic was introduced it's a matter of attraction, which is generally based upon personal preference. You seem to be viewing it as a racially motivated question, which is not at all how I took it.

I don't remember this topic ever being brought up before. The women have commented on no preference as far as jobs and body type but not skin tone.
