Light Skin Men or Dark Skin Men...which do you prefer?

judging from my pic, am I dark-skinned?

I always thought I was, but one black chick told me I was "red" and another chided me when I referred to myself as dark-skinned, insisting that I'm "brown skinned" (as if dark-skinned is necessarily a bad thing)

I get pretty damned dark in the summer and I think I look better for it

Just do the brown paper bag test, if you're darker you're dark-skin and if you're lighter you're light skin.

I'm super duper dark skin and interestingly it depends on where I am in the country if chicks like that or not. West coast and down south chicks usually don't like it

I don't know about the south, but I do know in cali you might as well be beetlejuice if you're dark skin.

 

In my experience, people aren't as color conscious in the West. Physical attractiveness trumps skin color, generally.

 

At this time I am into a guy,who is probably considered dark skinned,but have dated light skinned before, as well.

I agree. I've been in southern cali my entire 32 years and darker-skinned men have no problems attracting beautiful women! It's actually a preference among many women out here! :smt039
