The city's budget report showed the highest-paid lifeguard, the battalion chief, had a base salary of $119,000. When you factor in overtime, standby pay and other perks, he made $211,000! The No. 2 made a total of $203,000.

Plus, KTLA reports, they also got an annual allowance of $400 for "sun protection."

Lifeguards are good people and we need them. But 120,000 dollars a year seems a little much to me. But thats just me.

That's a battalion chief, not some standard employee.

But wait, do you get more money if you're blond bombshell with huge jugs that jiggle as you trot down the beach saving whales and executing recitation on guys that faint while tanning?
