For years there have been many racist white men who resent the fact that will smith has gone from strength to strength. Now look how are they are trying to slander him.

    Will says:

"Even Hitler didn't wake up going, 'let me do the most evil thing I can do today'," said Will. "I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was 'good'. Stuff like that just needs reprogramming."

That is what will said, word for word, nothing else added.

White media jumps on it to say that Will thinks Hitler is Great. Ok did I miss something, that very racist gossip blog TMZ which only publishes anti black male stories, has gone out of its way to skew this interview.

Were in that statement does it condone what hitler did or show love for Hitler? I completely understand what will said and it does not need the horrible headlines or skewed stories being published on TMZ.

IT is little more than an excuse to sensationalise a nothing story to bring down a good black man. I am sick to hell of this and we need to start a campaign about how the racist media look for excuses to slander black men.

anyone who injects hitler into a conversation is going to get balled...

i remember when arnold schwarzeneggar said he admired hitler for going from nothing to a major figure. Next thing you know, people started saying arnold was "pro-hitler"

    lol

i think we need to start a campaign against tmz because for years they have been looking for an excuse to say something against WIll because he is black man doing well, it is truly sad if this is can pass as journalism, seriously there has to be some standards and will needs to sue TMZ for Damages.

I don't use TMZ. It's in the same ballpark as the National Enquirer and Globe. I don't think Will Smith said that Hitler was great. I honestly feel that he thought Hitler was evil, Will was only stating his personal opinion of the man.

I wouldn't put my trust on the tabloids like TMZ. They are trying to create some spin to something that is not true.

When I first read about this a few days ago I had a feeling it would be an bit of a problem. Smith is usually smarter than this but the main issue that I object to is that all these websites/articles state that Smith said that Hitler was essentially a good guy. They are cheating right there because if that had been an exact quote of his they would have had to put it inside parenthesis. They are therefore making a bad interepretation of his comments and putting it out there as if he said that exact thing. What he did say, and I don't know the context of that point of the interview, was that even Hitler likley saw himself as a guy doing good when in reality he was doing something evil and twisted. Period.

And while not trying to defend TMZ it should be noted that TMZ did not start this controversy, just picked up on what had already been kicked off by the international newspapers which do have often a tabloid feel to them.

But again Smith has to know that anything said about Hitler is going to be put to scrutiny unless you are adamantly negative in eveything you say about Hitler.

My thoughts exactly!!! Its sad that jews pretty much run Hollywood and have so much power, because in situations like this(especially mentioning Hitler) they will try to get a non-jew black listed. Now if a black actor like Denzel or Morgan Freeman had made that statement Arnold Schwarznegger made, their careers would've been over.

And like someone else mentioned, Will Smith is an A list super star who brings in huge box office bucks, and racist whites in Hollywood are not comfortable with that. So now more than ever, especially after his 70+ million dollar block buster "I am Legend", they want to shut him down at any cost. This is a blatant attempt to try and bring him down, but there is no truth in these accusations at all.

That is true. Blacks can get the American dream but a very few of them can. Black males always had to work twice as hard and if they get in trouble spend twice as much to get out of jail.

I admire Will Smith for being as multi-talented as he is..

and he is african-american as well, so that helps...

it shows how far we came as a people in america, and is always a positive light...

they can say whatever they want to about him, he's still cool with me

    :)

oh yeah, I Am Legend was a great movie.. Maybe not the most original considering all of the other movies about rampant viruses, turning people into mad, flesh eating loonies...but it was still good. That movie slammed all of the other ones that came out with it, lol.

It wasn't supposed to be original, it's the third interpretation of a book of which the title is escaping my right now.

But yeah, Will is cool. I was watching a re-run of Letterman a couple nights ago. It was from last year when he was on promoting the Pursuit of Happyness. Smith is just sooo witty and charming, can't help but love him!!!

it reminded me of 28days/28weeks later...

    and resident evil - extinction.

resident evil's humans were more like braindead zombies, while the ones from 28 days later, actually ran down people on foot, and were very aggressive and quick, like the ones in I am Legend.
