He has not lost his touch but I wished he had gotten Nicole Kidman preggers with a real Black baby not just one she had adopted.
One of those weekly entertainment-celebrity lifestyle-gossip mags (may have ceased publication by now) that became all the rave a few years back did a listing of all the famous women Lenny Kravitz had dated. It was very, very impressive and the list was around 25 to 30 of some of the most beautiful women you've seen. So, yes, count me as one of those who envies Lenny's life and experiences. That being said he needs to finally close the deal. When he got engaged to Adrina Lima (a girl who seems to have every race of the world in her blood) I said, well, she's kind of young for him but boy he better not blow that! Somehow they broke up. But then he dated the less-hot but still beautiful and more high profile Nicole Kidman. That was a huge surprise (even though Nicole had been seen with Q-Tip not too long before then). Here was a high profile, A-list actress at her peak dating a black man (mulatto or not). This of course was so rare and if Nicole had been an American it would have likely never have happened (its been the non-American white female celebs who have done the majority of dating/marrying blacks over the last fifteen years it seems). I found myself rooting for this couple and was pleased to find that most folks who responded to their pairing were rooting for them too. But from all reports Lenny could still not stop his partying and at times flirting and Nicole had to make a sudden detour after all reports were suggesting that the two were on the verge of getting engaged. That led to Nicole ending up in the arms of a drug addicted Australian country singer who can't shake those gay rumors. Now, once again Lenny has apparently hooked up with another high profile actress at her peak whom you would think would want to settle down after years of dating guys like Tom Cruise (maybe Lenny targets Cruise's exes). The question is does Lenny want to keep acting the player (and perpetuating the stereotype, right or wrong, that black men are about the sex and not the commitment) or does he want to get serious again and try marriage for a second time? He probably got married too early the first time with Lisa Bonet. But he's 40-something now, not 25. Its probably time for him to settle down again (I know...easy for me to say). I remember last year when Penelope was briefly rumored to have hooked up with Pharrel. I could not believe that but I immediately believed in the Lenny Kravitz rumor.
