I understand the drama.

If the friend is new, I support those feelings. I'd be wary of new female friends with the guy I'm into as well.

But someone that's been in a person's life longer than the relationship has? They have priority. I'd never ditch a friend for a relationship. If a guy's been in my life for awhile and we're friends. Besides, any guy friend that wants to fuck... either we already have and are past that or he's been so friend-zoned the poor guy will never get it

Yeah that's bs. I have a friend who I hooked up with who never saw me "that way" in high school but around 25 I had her walking around my apt in nothing.
The way you approach things makes a huge difference sometimes.

Right the approach makes a difference, I agree. However, high school and 25... there's a gap. Things could change in that time frame.

It's different than, if say... you and I were in a relationship and you didn't want me to be alone with my current guy friends. They're friend-zoned NOW. I'm interested in YOU. They're not just going to come out of the friend-zone.

Nothing's going to change (for me anyways) so fast that a friend-zoned guy would come out of the zone while I'm in a relationship with someone else.

I'm sorry I should have clarified, it's not really you I'm concerned about its more the sad sap who has probably been pining away for several years but couldn't quite muster the courage until he saw you with someone else.
I'll admit I'm letting past experiences color my thinking. Dealt with a few dudes who were "friends" with my girlfriends that always created a dramatic situation. Most guys really can't be friends with pretty girls without developing some type of feelings.
