According to widespread reports the paparazzi wars in LA are getting very crazy. Apparently in an attempt to outscoop eachother rival agencies have begun to recruit/hire members of Crips and the Bloods to their services. This has been most prevalent in the paparazzi pack of Britney Spears according to the New York Daily News. Of course the heads of the agencies deny hiring "street thugs"
Huh??? I don't get it. Crips and Bloods with cameras instead of "nines" and AK-47s!!?? The Kid Rasta 8)
Yeah, I don't get it either. How the heck can paps use gangs in there favor? Makes no sense. And where's a link pointing me to story from a reputable source that claims this to be true.

"They may dress like gang members with large pants and tattoos, but to say they're gang members right now, well, real gang members are not into Britney Spears," said Frank Navarre, a Frenchman who owns the X17 agency. "Britney Spears attracts huge numbers of photographers, and whoever muscles their way to the front gets the best picture. They're not AP photographers wearing flak jackets, but that's not to say they're thugs, either," said Chris Doherty, owner of the INF agency, which got the first photo of Spears after she was sprung from the UCLA Med Center psych unit Wednesday.
I saw a episode of that new show Dirt where it was mentioned that gang members are used by the paparazzi.
