He won the Bronze medal in China a year and half after he started boxing. That should tell you all that you need to know about the quality of HW boxing these days. And this "8 division world champion" thing is BS. Pacquiao has only won 4 legit world titles. His belts at Lightweight, Welterweight and Jr. Middleweight were paper titles. The one that he won at 154 against Margarito was the worst. Margarito was coming off of a severe beating, had just been caught cheating and was forced to come in at a catch weight. Then, you add in the fact that they fought for a vacant title in spite of the fact that neither of them were even ranked in that division before the fight was signed. The belts in boxing these days mean nothing. Any decent fighter with a good promoter can become a "world champion" whenever they want to.
