They would have to prove there was intent to murder and knowing how shit goes, she ain't going down for murder. They wont get her for intentional. Knowledgeable at the most and I bet theyll downgrade that to reckless or negligent.

Ok..l didn't know about a pic..just read that they might have had a history.

Usually Complex doors with keypads self lock ( like a hotel room).
I read every door there looks identical except for the number (obviously) - l'm thinking she never got inside. I'm betting she was trying multiple times to open it and he heard it, looked through his peephole, saw a cop, trustingly opened it, possibly 'startling her' and she shot him. (That Minneapolis cop that shot the Aussie woman dead said 'she startled him'.
Some cops shouldn't be given guns.

Even when the guy who tried to jack.me startled me, my instinct was never to shoot him. It never entered my mind. (my mind has since changed, however)
Cops are trained l guess, to just shoot!
This is going to bear out with no winners. She needs to pay however, for taking his life so recklessly.

Also found out he was a black accountant, got hired at one of the big four which is really tough even if you have good grades. He's also Caribbean so this hitting hard for me. Such a shame all around. He was an upstanding citizen and we can tell he had no skeletons because that would be front and center right now. I really hope this man gets justice.

 

Oh l know he was. The link l posted is full of photos of this impressive young man. His family and also Employer/company sent out a notices of devastation at the loss. He was truly loved by many.
These are the kinds of killings that kick you in the gut, because they were not supposed to happen. At all.

Yeah, i'm thinking she had her weapon drawn before dude opened the door, which shows her training in police discretion goes out the window when shes off the clock as she chose the "i'm a Texan so I gotta shoot you on sight" approach. Cops are trained in escalation of force and discretion is their most powerful weapon. Whether or not the cop uses that discretion wisely is up the individual. I imagine if she was responding to a call while off duty or intervening in an altercation while off duty, she would be just as irresponsible as she was here.
