Well ok, maybe not in REAL LIFE, but in a movie... Next summer she will star as Tyrese's girlfriend in Michael Bay's big budget live action film TRANSFORMERS, based off of the famous toyline and 1980's cartoon series. In this interview she reveals that she took the role because she wants to do a love scene with him...BADLY.... KATHLEEN ROBERTSON TALKS TRANSFORMERS! Actress Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills 90210, XX/XY, Scary Movie 2, I Am Sam) has been promoting her latest film Hollywoodland which stars Ben Affleck and Adrien Brody at several press junkets around L.A. The period drama, directed by Allen Coulter, depicts the mysterious murder/suicide of original Superman TV actor George Reeves (played by Affleck). Kathleen Robertson plays a friend of his wife's (played by Diane Lane). The reporters could not help but ask her how filming is going on next summer's Transformers in the midst of their questions about Hollywoodland. Q: So what's next for you after this? Kathleen: Well I have an independent project I'm working on right now with Peter Facinelli from Fastlane called Arc. It's a cop thriller, Michael Mann sort of thing. It's in high definition and has a real, gritty, hand held, Mann look to it. I'm excited about it. Then next summer I have a romantic comedy coming out with Rebecca Romijn, Eva Mendes and Ryan Reynolds. We're going to start shooting that in February. Q: You also have Transformers coming out next summer right? Kathleen: Yea, yea I forgot about that! I thought it was too soon to mention that. I might get in trouble if I talk about it. Q: What character do you play? Kathleen: Well I obviously...I can't, can't talk about it too much. I play the girlfriend of Tyrese's character. Q: Do you have a big role or a small one? Kathleen: It's pretty small but we have some really good scenes together. Q: Any love scenes? Kathleen: Like duh!!! I mean it's Tyrese man! I had to get my groove on. He's hot. That's why I took the role. I normally focus on, like independent, serious films ya know? This is my first real, big action thing, but I don't have to run around and do too much. Just look up at the sky at something that isn't really there and try to look scared. It's harder than it looks. Q: Any nudity in that love scene or is it kept pretty much to the imagination? I don't know if you saw the director Michael Bay's last film, The Island, where Scarlett Johansson had a love scene and he made her keep her bra on since it was PG-13. Kathleen: Yea, yea so is this (movie). I mean it's a kid movie. We couldn't show anything like that. It's tasteful though. Michael (Bay) is a great guy. He's really sweet and made sure I was comfortable. I just can't wait for everyone to see the finished product. They are working really really hard on it. They got the Pentagon, the Marines, the Air Force, the CIA, you name it, they are in this movie. They're blowing up Ferrari's and crushing buildings and guns are going off and people (are) hanging off cliffs and military jets are (flying) all over (the place). Wait til you see what they (the Decepticons?) do to Air Force One, the President's plane. It's bananas. Q: The budget is like $250 million dollars right? Kathleen: Umm I never heard that. I heard something like $220 or $230 million. Who knows, something crazy like that. Q: Well good luck with Hollywoodland and all your other projects, and thanks for your time. Kathleen: Thank You.
Niiice! I've always loved Kathleen, going all the way back to her 90210 days. For some reason, I always felt she had a warm place in her heart for working with the brothas. She seems like she'd be the kind of white girl into us in real life. Unfortunately, if a live action transformers movie is in the works, I won't be seeing her in it. I grew up watching the orig. cartoon and think Hollywood would just screw it up.
Hey thanks PBT :!: Always like to hear about the upcoming IR stuff in the entertainment world. Now I have to add her to my IR Fan Folder for sure :!:
Amazing....a Michael Bay movie rollin' thru IR territory. BTW, Megan Fox is also in this flick. I would luved to have seen Tyrese and Megan knockin' boots. http://img262.imageshack.us/my.php?image=meganfoxpurpledress162eu.jpg http://img262.imageshack.us/my.php?image=meganfoxpurpledress206fb.jpg The Kid Rasta 8)[/b]
I'm not that interested in Transformers, but I'll make an exception THIS TIME, and actually go to see the movie where it's playing here in my area.
I think she let out a hint in that interview because she was drooling over ryan reynolds or ben affleck like the way she just did tyrese.
