So do you think as the country gets more diverse, do you think self-segregation would actually increase, or decrease?

I get along just fine with an Indian kid in my computer class, it's beyond skin complexion.

I think it would lessen in the future and everyone would mesh together because of the population increase within Hispanics and Asians.

Yea I believe so. I'm for equal opportunity. I'm for protecting civil rights. I'm for integration if you want it. Segregation if you want it.

I leave it up to people to do what works best for them. And if interacting with non whites is problematic for you and you want to live in a majority white area, no problem with me.

If you want to be in a diverse area with many people and marry white women, etc. go ahead.

My problem is when the government gets involved and starts dictating whats right and whats wrong. Granted it was necesary in the 60's, but there wasn't equal opportunity and civil rights back then. Those rights are protected by the government, that's about it.

No mandates, no quotas. No breaking up neighborhoods to put in low income apartments if they don't want it and no affirmative action.

The black man does not need a handout to make it in 2011 America.

 

I dont think self segragation is going to be any less common. And you don't have to think of it through a race only prism. People with similar interests, backgrounds, etc. tend to separate themselves from others naturally. The idea that we all need to be buddy buddy is not realistic and is not going to happen. You ever see white elites hanging with the white trailer park folk? They don't have anything common with them and don't want to have anything to do with them.

 

i don't see the racist site/hater site comparison. i think there is a difference between hardcorte racists(racist site) and ignorant ppl(hater site).

to me, this is a story of a rocker bnging a model, the difference is hip hop, a predominately black music, is the new rock. so you will see more swirl added to the equation. it at the end of the day is jump-offs getting on.

 

Yeah, that makes sense. However, if two people are very high caliber and successful in what they pursue (male and female), shouldn't they have attraction for themselves beyond their skin color?
