I was at Kanye's Glow in the Dark the other week, yeah it was pretty amazing . Have you purchased the cd? Yep What did you think of the songs you heard? It's a different direction for him but I really like it. It's his way of dealing with the shit he's been through in the last year. Boy sure does love his vocoder though. My fav song are Love Lockdown (which is crazy live with the takio drums), Heartless and Tell Everybody That You Know/See You In My Nightmare feat. Weezy.
This album is definitely going to take listeners for a loop w/ this new sound he's going with. I'd say the sound is vintage/new wave/pop. Little-to-no hip hop is used for the album. Overall, Kanye has done it again innovating new ideas and pushing the envelope in terms of music. I'm pleased with the product.
