Join the WWBM 2013 NFL Pick 'Em League!

I'm not a Manziel fan but I think he'd fit in with the Silver and Black. What do you think? Would they draft him?

 

Honestly I cannot stand Manziel so it's probably hard for me to give an unbiased opinion. With that said, I don't like him for the Raiders. Heisman or no heisman, his maturity level is on par with Jamarcus Russell, and that's something Oakland can do without. I'm still on Pryor's bandwagon. If the Raiders would invest and commit to him as the starter (and not in the half ass way they did this year) I think he could be really good. He's young, strong, fast, and adds the spark that this offense needs (we saw it in the first few weeks that he played).

I think there are too many other positions that we need to fill, to focus on a qb (because IMO we already have a diamond in the rough.....I might be tooting his horn a bit much, but you get my point). If the Raiders are dead set on a qb, I really like Teddy Bridgewater. Raiders pick at #5, so in all likelihood Manziel and Bridgewater will both be gone by that point anyways. That's ok with me...stick with Pryor and draft a WR like Jarvis Landry That combo could be deadly!

Im impressed with you raider knowledge lol. And I agree with you on not being able to stand Manziel but for me its more about not feeling like he really has the arm talent to play quarterback at the next level. The plays that I see him making are more with his feet than anything and we already have pryor for that.

I was big on the pryor bandwagon and I really thought that people just weren't seeing the big picture with him. I saw a lot of cam newton in him. (which can be both good and bad I guess). he showed some flashes but had some bad games as well. As much as it kills me to say it, I think RIGHT NOW mcgloin is more ready to play.

I don't care what we do as long as we don't pick that little pixie from a&m lol

 

lol. I know right. don't meet many raiders fans. especially where I live. Im from Louisiana and you already know we don't get much mainstream coverage so I have to get the Sunday ticket just to watch our games lol.

If I could figure out how to post pics on here I would lol. And I might just challenge you for the biggest raider fan title. But I mean, you can always be cutest raider fan. Not a bad consolation prize right?

 

Manziel doesn't have the arm strength. They tried to make him more of a pocket passer, but that didn't work. He's a punk kid, and I don't want him anywhere near the silver and black lol. Honestly, he won't make it to the 5th pick (too much hype around him) so I doubt we have to worry about the Raiders messing up their draft picks by selecting him!

As for McGloin...I can't get on board with him. Seeing Pryor on the sidelines kills me. I'll be screaming for Pryor until someone proves they're better (and IMO no one has as of yet).

Ftr, I'm only 5 hours from Oakland and even I don't get many games! I'm switching to DirecTV next year, but this year I had to watch the games online. I was stuck with the sorry ass charger games on tv :smt012

You can post a pic two ways...when you have the reply to thread box open, just click the paperclip and attach a pic from your folder (or phone). The other option is to insert an image from your photobucket (or something similar) account. Im with you on manziel and for what is worth it seems like reggie McKenzie is trying to bring in high character guys to fill our roster and johnny definitely isn't that lol. Our pash rush could really use some help so I hope we use our draft pick there.

Don't get me wrong Im not a fan of mcgloin but have you ever noticed that when pryor is in the game it always seems like none of the receivers are ever open? lol. Towards the end of the season when he finally got back in it was almost like running was his first option. And I hate It for him because I know how hard he worked and he wants to win sooo bad. Truth is next season is gonna be bad because looking into my crystal ball I can see mcgloin starting and all of those jump balls that he threw up to streater and holmes will get picked off once teams get game tape on him. its going to be ugly lol

And this is why you gotta get NFL Network. In August of 2012 they launched a morning show that airs from 6am-10am EST Monday-Friday. It's like a "Good Morning America" for the NFL and it's on year-round throughout the entire offseason.

Not only was it a dream come true from a fan's standpoint, but it will also keep you informed on aspects like the upcoming draft and free-agency. I've been watching it since it first came on the air and still try to watch it everyday. I basically wake up to it with my coffee.
