I love that part. After spending so much money in chicago on black youth, the article completely discredits her. I tell you. some people are ungrateful. If you take religion what do you have? A bunch of people working independently for their own success.

 

Madiba, you have presented a very interesting article. I'm surprise that you have not been lambasted by now by the progressive left who honors victimhood. I guess it's selective outrage for some. Anyway, MalcolmX once made a reference to the lack of cooperativeness on the part of blacks in general. Like the note in the article about 140 million peoples of african descent living in just this hemisphere, imagine the economic, world political influence and cultural cohesiveness if this group of humanity ever realize their potential to the world in dealing with racisim in the Americas for instance, the AIDS crises, lack of education, famine, helping the blacks nations of Africa. Imagine the power. But it will never be realize because of distrust, self-hatred (you see it on this site) and the obvious historical baggage of slavery that will long hold peoples of african descent to the bottom of the world social,economic, and political ladder. Yup. There is a lot of distrust in the Black community. Blacks just seem so much more tribal than other races...and it pisses me off.

 

Don't be pissed off Madiba. There is much that we have to learn about our past in order to understand our present and where we are going into the future. There are historical forces so powerful that it shaped our present. We have to understand that history. Do not be angry about it. This distrust may go back for centuries before colonalism and the slave trade. I'm finding it necessary to understand the ancestral history of tribalism on the african continent in order to understand us as a people. The problem so much of our history has been whitewashed and lied to us. It will be up to this generation and the next to rediscover that history.

 

Or we can focus on our present amd just move forward

I realize it's tangential to the subject, but the thread title and the blog title rely on stereotypes about Jewish people that go back to pre WWII era, the exact same stereotypes Hitler used to drum up hate against the Jews, the exact same stereotypes used today by crazy people bitching about the "Zog".

I know people like to say stereotypes are based in truth, but sometimes they're just based on stereotypes, especially really old ones.

I've known many a loser jew, and many -- many -- who don't do shit for a fellow jew.

Likewise, most of the successful Black people I've known are obsessed with how to give back.


Also, the author of the blog is a crazy person & a racist. Case in point (from elsewhere in the blog):

What i find funny are those studies that state how Jews possess the highest IQ's on earth (studies implemented by jews no less). Yet you barely see jews in engineering classes.

I will tell you what though, flipping through the "lawyer, counselors, psychologist" section of the yellow pages reveals more than a handful of jews; so maybe they are exceptional in that line of study.

The fact is the best communicators are usually the most successful (and thus most powerful).

That's one thing that never fails to amuse me. I love how people refer to Jews as a different race. Religion has absolutely nothing to do with race, last time I checked. The majority of Jews just happen to be white or middle Eastern.

I completely agree with you though, Jews are good communicators and a lot of them are raised to be very level headed with business. But there are still certain respectable, high paying careers that you don't really see Jews in. Like doctors and dentists for example, here this is dominated by Asians (middle East).

Of course the blogger is generalizing, and you will come across unsucessful Jews. I have come across a few, not many though. But percentage wise you will find more succesfull Jews than Blacks.They must be doing something right, and we need to look at them as a model of success. Its not like they have had it easy, they too were persecuted.
Even if what the blogger says isnt true(they give back to their community), it works for them. And it doesnt for us. We can only learn from them.

 

Part of the reason, we are still fighting each other in Africa is because of what the Europeans did. They arbitrarily set land borders, without consulting Africans. Europeans decided to have a meeting in Berlin sometime in the late 1800's and divided Africa amongst themselves. The land divisions didn’t take into account tribal rivalry. So you ended up with tribes who hated each other having to work together in government..And you can see the results today.

If on the other hand, they had consulted Africans, the borders could have been set so that rivals wouldn’t be in the same country, and wouldn’t have to share government. Africa could have been so much more peaceful and wealthy.

 

Our time as a people is coming. The jews were patient and we must do the same.

 

I know you're speaking in general terms, but I have some engineers in my (Jewish) family.

I don't subscribe to any one group having a higher IQ than anyone else.

That's funny - cause here, there's a lot of Jewish doctors and dentists.


We're taught that education is really important and you always take care of your family first. The family unit is stressed and then some.



I think people group Jews together because of the ethnic background(s) being similar. A lot times you can tell by looking at someone (at least I can spot them easily) and know they're Jewish. The features are prominent, the hair texture and just the overall look. This doesn't mean that no one else could look "Jewish" or that that one who doesn't appear to look typically Jewish, can't be.

 

Most ppl know "judaism" is a religion not a racial status but it is used interchangably as a race in America.......

For those of you who has not seen jews in Engineering, medicine and dentistry... you must not be attending high caliber school. The jews have been dominating academia for generation to come...their domination is not in some shitty community college school where the average thug graces the hallway but rather in high caliber schools like IVY league and close to IVY status schools. I even recall my physics professor saying most engineers in Germany are jews.....

Jews are good across the board. And for me personally if they dont have really Jewish sounding name I cant tell. Especially the secular Jews who dont really flaunt their Jewishness. I expect its the same for many other people.
