Hey nobledruali, you've got my comments flamed right above yours, but I seriously doubt you took time to read it. I never said anything about a "theory" of white starlets not getting with dark black men. And as you can see by looking above, I never said that. I just said that many (not all) tend to go the biracial route because it's easier. I'm still happy for those light skinned brothers who've found someone who loves them, though.

You reference Shaq's one-night stand with Cindy Crawford like it's something to be proud of, but you need to look deeper than the surface. So a black man got a good piece of white tail....big deal! I'm sure he enjoyed it and so would I, but that little fling proves my point. I don't think Cindy would have been upset if Brad Pitt had screwed her and spilled the beans about it. Now it's not about going to the mountaintops and screaming, "I'm doing interracial." But I hardly find it a strange that she was trying to keep her Shaq Diesel fling on the down low. And if you don't mind having sex with someone, then why should you have a problem with people finding out that you were with that person? I'm not saying to walk around with your white girl on a leash, but all of this fretting about someone finding out that you did interracial smacks of some slavery shit if you ask me. It's the same thing we have criticized white men for doing with black women.

When I'm with a white woman I don't take extra steps to announce to the world that we're dating, but I'm not going to try to hide it either. Yes, there are plenty of white women who are digging Taye Diggs, but the majority of the famous ww doing interracial prefer brothers with the "he's black but not really black" look when it comes to dating and secretly enjoy the chocolate bm when it comes to the "behind closed doors nobody will know stuff." I was talking about famous white women (since that's what this thread is about); not the everyday 9 to 5 ones. I know that Taye is married to a white woman, but Idina Menzel ain't all that famous.

The only thing that I'm "proud" of as far as Shaq & Cindy Crawford or anybody else "hooking" up interracially is that they had or have the freedom to do it for the most part in this country :!: No more & no less because it is what it is. You're to be applauded for how you handle YOUR relationships with white ladies but again that's how YOU do it. Not everybody's the same. I would like to feel that no one would be ashamed of anybody that they loved...or even screwed :shock: no matter their color but it's not always like that now is it?
