I'm sorry to say this, but this logic is fucked. Comedy, like any art, is in the eye of the beholder.

Most people never saw the first few seasons of Seinfeld the first time around as no one knew who he was or what the show was about. It was only through word of mouth and syndication that it grew to be the phenomenon it became, and to some extent still is.

I personally never found it overly funny.

 

I will wake up at 5 in the morning to watch, just because I enjoy a good "show".

It's also rather historic, it's not too often you get to see the marriage of a true heir to a former monarchy and empire. The history of the English people will be remembered forever, and this is just an extension of their everlasting legacy throughout the world.
