Don't know the details, but it's sad if true. But that secrecy seemed one sided and Katie probably wanted to be more open with her man. But that's just my theory I don't really know why.

Does a more private celebrity couple exist than Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes? This down low duo kept their romance under such tight wraps that no one even knows when they started dating. But now it all appears to be over. Here's our best guess as to why Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes broke up.

News of Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes' breakup didn't hit until Foxx was spotted holding hands with another woman, model and singer Sela Vave, in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Holmes was photographed on a stroll in the Big Apple, quote, "looking like she didn't have a care in the world," according to TMZ. While this was the first time Foxx and Vave were snapped looking so cozy, the comedian-turned-A-list-actor has popped up in her social media feeds before. However, a source told People that Foxx is simply helping Vave kickstart a music career, and that they're just professional, platonic pals.

Vave isn't the only other woman to whom Foxx has been linked since he's dated Holmes, however. A source told Radar Online in September 2017 that Foxx was seeing another woman who, quote, "was Russian and much younger than him" while dating Holmes, noting that Holmes "narrowly missed" encountering the woman at least once. In June 2016, Radar also published photos that appeared to show Foxx in Miami holding hands with a blond woman who he reportedly took back to his hotel room. The June hookup allegedly went down while Holmes was in Canada filming The Kennedys: After Camelot.

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes managed to stay out of the public eye for the majority of their six-year relationship.

But their confirmed split-up in August 2019 has changed all that. News of the breakup came mere days after TMZ spotted the Oscar-winning actor outside a nightclub with aspiring singer Sela Vave. Meanwhile, a source told Page Six they'd overheard Holmes say to a friend,

"What Jamie does is his business - we haven’t been together for months.”

So when did the romantic trouble start for Holmes and Foxx? Well, a source told In Touch Weekly that

"Jamie and Katie have been arguing nonstop over his partying. For months he’s been promising to calm his wild ways, but nothing’s changed and she’s finally come to the conclusion that she wants to be with a guy who’s more mature and ready to settle down."

According to Us Weekly, Foxx's penchant for being seen in public with other women had became too much for Holmes to ignore.

Reportedly, that's ultimately why the couple grew apart. A source told Us Weekly:

"It has been many years of him stepping out with other women. He's disrespectful and their lives were different. His partying ways don't fit with hers as she's focused on raising her daughter and working."

Page Six reports that Foxx and Holmes were having romantic troubles over the summer - and their issues reportedly came to a head around Memorial Day Weekend. Earlier that week, the New York-based Holmes was in Los Angeles, supporting Foxx during his performance in ABC's Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's All in the Family and the Jeffersons.

A source told Page Six that Holmes and Foxx had planned to spend Memorial Day weekend in the beach town of Montauk, New York, but that didn't happen:

"Katie called two hours before he was supposed to get on a plane from LA to NYC and canceled. He was really upset.”

But another source told Page Six that Foxx was the one who abruptly bailed out on the trip:

"Katie was supposed to go to Montauk to join Jamie, but he did something s-----y at the last minute, and that was that. He canceled on his own and never got on the plane.”

That weekend, Foxx reportedly went to Disneyland instead of Montauk. Interestingly enough, he returned to "The Happiest Place on Earth" two months later - with Sela Vave. She shared the event on Instagram, along with the caption:

"Unless [you're] fighting in Toon Town this is the happiest place on earth!"

Foxx and Vave have clearly heard all the rumors that their alleged relationship was the reason Holmes broke off her six-year romance with Foxx - and now they're pushing back on that narrative.

In a video posted to Vave's Instagram on August 21st, Foxx claimed he's just mentoring a young performer:

"When I met Ed Sheeran, I didn't know him from Adam. He slept on my couch for six weeks."

Later on, Foxx adds:

"Nick Cannon was 13 years old, he used to sleep at my old house."

In regards to Vave, Foxx goes on to say,

"We took her under our wing."

"We wanted to treat her the same way and give her the opportunity."

He goes on to add:

"It's a double standard when it comes to women."

Okay, so if that's true, what about the photographs of him holding hands with Vave outside the LA club Bootsy Bellows? Foxx explained:

"I'm escorting her to my car, to put her in the car-my artist, who hangs out with my kids and is as young as my daughter."

Vave was far less diplomatic in the caption for these videos, lashing out at all the people who think that she and Foxx are having an affair:

"For the people who care… here is the TRUE story(swipe)… for everyone else you can keep talking and calling me a w---e, s--t, home wrecker, thot, gold digger, that I should die, and what ever else you want. Because it doesn't matter to me, I'm out here to work and do what I love most."

And that, as they say, is that. For now, anyway.

All of this is probably B.S. someone probably has a new movie coming out soon.

If it is true, then Holmes only has herself to blame. He’s been partying and dating different women for years. You played yourself if you go into a relationship with the hopes of changing them.

As far as Foxx saying that it is just business and double standards and such, I agree with the double standard part. Any dude who sleeps on his couch is ok, but a woman does it and he must be having sex with her. I believe they call that slut-shaming if he did or didn’t do it.

At the end of the day, all that matters is that Threadripper is coming, and I will finally be able to decide between the 3900x and the 3rd gen Threadripper CPUs.

I don't see the point of always trying to speculate who's to blame when a relationship ends, especially when celebrities are involved. Truth be told, regardless of what the gossip columns or those with their theories or "insight" have to say about the breakup, no one other that the two involved is truly privy to the relationship details or what happened to end it. There isn't necessarily some kind of drama or scandal behind it when a relationship ends; sometimes shit just doesn't work out. Breaking up doesn't always indicate something negative like mistreatment, ill feelings, or a lack of love. Sometimes folks just find they aren't compatible, which just means they figured out it wasn't meant to be.
